I'm hoping I won't need to. But I'm just curious about other people's opinions.
I'm just over 35 weeks.

I posted yesterday about being in for the 5th time of reduced movements. This all seems to be because of my placenta. Baby was slightly sleepy when I first went on the monitor, but loads of water and a position change and the heart rate picked up.
Today I then went for a scan (routine in this area after reduced movements) and all seems great. I'm getting regular growth scans anyway, but they checked heart rate, position, fluid and blood flow through the cord. We all saw the baby wriggling too.

However, I said this morning that I'm still not feeling movements, and how long should this reassure me for? The midwife said, TBH if I'm not feeling anything by tonight I could call back in for advice so I will do that if I've not felt anything for a few hours.

Has anyone else had this. My bump is changing shape (like it normally does when the baby is moving) but I'm not feeling them at all! I've maybe felt 3 movements today, and apart from going to the hospital I've just been resting.

I just hate not having this lovely reassurance that everyone talks about. Sad

Sorry I've not had this but I'd go back asap.

Call back. They are never going to send you away. Better safe than sorry. I was in every other day at end and then induced week early.

I had similar in my last pregnancy. Is your placenta anterior? I'd just call them again if I were you, even if it's just peace of mind. They said to me that they'd rather I call or go in whenever I was worried, and not stay at home worrying! I'd go in and get put on the monitor and see that he was wriggling around loads but I could never feel it!

Thank you all.

Yup, anterior placenta. Hopefully that's all that's masking everything.

I've given them a phone and I'm heading back up.

What are you hoping the outcome to be?
If your placenta is anterior then surely your movements have always been less intense?
Have they actually changed/reduced or do you believe you should be feeling more?

DannyWallace · 01/02/2019 20:33

@Bigonesmallone3 they have been almost non existent for almost 2 full days.

I'd call back. If your placenta had always masked movements then maybe, but if you felt confident in feeling them before and now you don't and you feel they've reduced again, I would go back lovely. Not worth the risk 😘

Thank you ❤️.
I've been up again tonight. Hopefully it's just placenta/baby's position, but they're bringing me in regularly for monitoring as this keeps happening.

Just go as many times as you need to. I’d rather be seen as a pain in the arse (although you won’t be seen that way) than the alternative outcome of an issue or worse with the baby.

I was induced with DD due to numerous instances of reduced fetal movement. Always go get monitored.

Only you know ur baby and u have instincts..

Make yourself heard.. pester if needs be..

Good luck
