At least I think it’s my Cervix 🙈

I know I don’t have a UTI or anything like that. It’s just an ache but I don’t think the baby can be that low down?

I’ve tried Dr Google bug can only find things that relates to sharp pains whilst mine is literally just an ache

Has anyone else experienced this?

I'm 37 in 2 days, and I've had these too!
It's like a sharp cervix jab that makes it feel like I'm going to pee myself.
I spoke to my obstetrician about it n she confirmed it was just baby pushing down on the right area, ready for moving out! Flowers

Does it feel like a weight or a pressure on it?

shecamefromgreece · 02/02/2019 13:40

If it's just achey it's probably the weight of a full grown baby balancing on its head on them🤣
Sharp shooting pains are fanny daggers is definitely to literally stop me in my tracks!

I remember this. I had fanny daggers for weeks and then at about 40 weeks I literally spent all day feeling like I had a UTI because the pressure was insane. It felt like I’d been cracked in my bits by a bowling ball. Turns out it’s just what happens when baby properly engages with their head firmly down. Mention it to your midwife but do not, under any circumstances, then them grin at you and say “ooh yes that’s a sure sign that baby will be here soon!” Because all that will achieve is you going overdue by a fortnight and ending up with an induction. Not that I’m bitter...!

I had this a lot towards the end. I think about 3 or 4 weeks before I was due I had it all the time. It's the baby's head pushing down on the cervix. So it's just the baby moving around and where it hasn't got much room to move it hurts a lot more in areas
