I recently had a GTT and was told that it was negative. I thought you had to keep still during the 2 hour wait between blood tests (as exercise burns off glucose) but I was told that I could walk around, so I did. But my MIL is a diabetes nurse and she says you're absolutely not allowed to walk around
and that my test was probably invalid. So now I'm now worried that I do have GD after all but that I was misdiagnosed (in fact my consultant was very surprised that I passed the test this time). I know the sensible thing to do is to just ring my consultant and ask him about it but I'm terrified that he'll make me have the test again and that this time I'll fail and will have to do the horrid finger-pricking thing (which I found really traumatic in last pg, wimp that I am). So I'm wondering what other MNers did during their 2-hour wait...
