Has anyone used them? I dont want to stock up on nappies too much until baby is here but I'll nedd to get enough for the first few days. I've seen that the Lidl/Aldi ones have a great reviews so I'm wondering whether to give them a go?

The asda little angel ones are also another option.

I use the Lidl lupilu ones and they are exactly the same as pampers for a fraction of the price!

Springmummy19 · 29/01/2019 15:18

@LuciaJayce this is the thing, If it does just a good a job then I don't see why I would choose to pay more just for the sake of a brand.

Following, I go into Lidl for the bakery and fruit and veg so it'd be good to add another thing to the list. I'll be disappointed if Aldi come out best as our local store is grim 😂

EssentialHummus · 29/01/2019 15:20

We use Aldi. 16 months in they are the best for DD in terms of fit, dryness. But, there is some variation in shape (as well as quality) and different brands suit different babies. I'd buy a small pack of a few brands to begin with.

PennyMordauntsLadyBrain · 29/01/2019 15:22

We used Lidl for ages- they never leaked.

We only went back to Pampers when DD became more feral and refused to lie down for nappy changes, so we resorted to pull-up pants. I'll be back to the Lidl version once she reaches the lower weight limit for the smaller size!

needsleepzzz · 29/01/2019 15:24

Used Aldi since birth, fantastic, no leaks inc poo, no nappy rash, very absorbent even now at age 2 and drinking gallons Grin
They also now do their own 'water wipe' equivalent

DaisyChainsForever · 29/01/2019 15:27

We use Aldi's for DS. Have done since birth.

Springmummy19 · 29/01/2019 15:28

@Heyha Unfortunately you cant even order them online but they are 89p for a pack of 24 so you cant really go wrong.

@needsleepzzz I didn't even check wipes but I'll take a look, thank you

We are up to size 6 pull ups!! All sizes no issues!
Wipes are great too.

Heyha · 29/01/2019 15:30

Looks like I'll have to learn to love Aldi then 😂 will definitely give Lidl ones a whirl too

EssentialHummus · 29/01/2019 15:32

hey occasionally they are available for home delivery during a "baby event" (and actually their clothes/wooden toys/snacks etc justify the £25 minimum spend).

Lauren83 · 29/01/2019 15:59

I used Aldi since DS was born and thought they were great although did have some leaky poo explosions, I thought it was just one of those things however have changed to Morrisons nutmeg and it hasn't happened since. Morrisons own brand baby wipes are rubbish though I use Aldi wipes

Stringofpearls · 29/01/2019 16:01

We weren't keen on the Asda or Morrisons ones, Boots were ok but we've found Tesco to be the best. Haven't tried Aldi as yet. I'd wait and try a couple of brands before stocking up as it really depends what suits your baby.

KTD27 · 29/01/2019 16:02

Have used Aldi for the ‘flappy nappies’ for as I call them for my baby but Lidl have released new soft pull ups and they’re FAB just like pampers so I also use those for my bigger more active toddler

Endofrelationship · 29/01/2019 16:39

Used both, love both.

TheLovleyChebbyMcGee · 29/01/2019 16:53

We use lidl, no problems here!

Slippershoes · 29/01/2019 17:00

We used Aldi nappies and never had a leak. Also stocked up on the big boxes of wipes during the baby event. Used Lidl ones too as it's close and didn't really have a problem with them either.

Alanares89 · 29/01/2019 19:33

I use Lidl’s nappies, find them actually to be better than pampers!! DS always seem to have a leak with pampers, but I’m not giving up on them, I could possibly be putting them on wrong because no way they can be that bad as they’ve been around for years lol not keen on the Lidl’s wipes, find them to be quite dry, Asda’s are the softest :) x

ecuse · 29/01/2019 19:34

We used Aldi, found them to be brilliant

Justus22 · 29/01/2019 19:40

It's been 5 years but I used pamper for new born and then sainsbury's or aldi. Got on with all great except huggies. X

Roomba · 29/01/2019 19:48

I used the Aldi nappies and pull ups and found them far better than any other brand I tried. And they were cheaper - bonus!

But nappies are a bit weird in that what is the right shape/absorbency for one baby isn't necessarily the best for another. My friend grumbled that Aldi nappies leaked on her DD and she much preferred the boots ones. Trial and error may be required.

Roomba · 29/01/2019 19:50

Pampers gave DS awful bleeding sore skin and stuck to him. Had a hell of a job peeling the nappy off whole DS screamed.

PivotPivotPivottt · 29/01/2019 19:51

I use Aldi nappies. Tried Lidl nappies but didn't like them as much. Asda Little Angels are my second favourite. Have also used Tesco and Boots with no problems
Pampers are the worst. Overpriced shite.

Starlight456 · 29/01/2019 19:53

A cm . Lots of Aldi nappies come here .

If I was to have another baby I would definitely try them .

One thing I would say is that it is the shape of the baby varies so sometimes nappies just leak for certain babies/ toddlers
