My daughter is 16 weeks pregnant(1st baby) and has been told by her midwife that her blood pressure is slightly raised and her haemoglobin level too high(14.4). She has put on over a stone in weight! My daughter has a history of anaemia and low blood pressure, so this is all rather worrying. She is to be referred to a consultant to monitor the situation, due to the possibility of developing pre-eclampsia.
My daughter has recently moved from one side of London to the other and seems in no hurry to register with a new doctor or a maternity hospital. Her work is nearer to her present doctors surgery, which means she doesnt have to take so much time off work.
I shoul be grateful for any comments or advice on the above two matters.
