Don't panic! Many women don't really have a noticeable 'bump' until much later on (or at all). I worried so much as I just looked thicker round the middle a bit, but I didn't have a proper bump until about 28 weeks . With DC2 I was the same, I have photos of me the day I gave birth and you can't really see much of an obvious bump under my clothes at all, I just looked bigger all round - so bizarre as he was a good healthy size! I had an anterior placenta too and didn't feel any kicking until about 26 weeks.

Then you have people like my sister, who had a really obvious almost pointy bump from about 12 weeks. Her bump was absolutely enormous by the end but from behind she didn't look pregnant at all! Everyone is different and as long as your scans/checkups are all fine please don't stress yourself out over it (easier said than done, I know).

I got my bump around 22/23 weeks. Don't worry as long as baby is healthy at your scans all is fine, you will defo get you're bump eventually.

Babies are still small and can hide in your womb, there are definitely movement a bit you just can't feel them yet. Have a look at your scan notes, do you have an anterior placenta? This can also delay you feeling movement as your placenta may be at the front of your womb

I never had a bump until the last few weeks. They kept saying that the baby was small and getting the measuring tape out to measure my stomach. My baby was 6lb 10. I just ballooned at the end of my pregnancy with a big bump, so don't worry.

I'm nearly 24 weeks and almost no bump (just look bloated) :( just keep wondering when I will finally look pregnant! Though at the same time I don't want the stretch marks...

Please don’t worry, honestly everyone ‘carries’ differently. I remember going to a wedding when I was 6 months and NOT needing to wear a maternity dress - hardly anything there, just a general thickening / fattening! By the end I had a noticeable bump and he was 9lb, so it’s no indication at all of how your baby is / will be. Always call yr midwife if yr worried though x

Katiecausesmischief · 24/01/2019 21:37

I wouldn’t worry about it - I’m 33 weeks and all is good but last week I wore my pre-pregnancy work trousers & top and unless you looked carefully you wouldn’t have realised I was pregnant!
I have just mainly lost my waist & just this week have a rapidly expanding high bump!
Until very recently most people didn’t realise I am pregnant!!

Be careful what you wish for. My bump is now so big at 33 weeks I feel like my baby is going to explode out of my stomach alien style. I was much more comfortable in my first pregnancy when I was smaller and am far grumpier at an earlier point than I was last time.

IvyChime · 26/01/2019 04:04

I started getting bigger at 10 weeks, but it just looked like I'd put on weight even though it was all bloating and baby!
I'm 19 weeks now and it's twice the size but it's still not all that round.
Not feeling the baby doesn't mean theyre not moving, everyone feels it at different times, if you're worried call up your midwife for a chat maybe? Xx

I have a fairly substantial bump already (19 weeks) but as an experiment (I'm very short in the torso) stood in front of the mirror and stretched my spine up so there was more space between my ribcage and hips. Bump went from a round ball sticking right out to a thick waist. If I had a couple more inches on the torso I don't think I would be showing. So it's really not that a bump is small/big but rather how it fits into your body.
