Holiday at 33 weeks?

My husband and I have started TTC but we have a seaside holiday planned this summer.
I am fully aware of the fact that it might take months or even years before we are lucky enough to succeed but I can't help thinking that there is also a small possibility this might happen sooner rather than later. If so, it means that I could be anywhere between 31 and 33 weeks by the time we go on our holiday - do you think it is too risky? Has any of you done it before?
It will be a 3 hours plane journey in southern Europe.
The high temperatures don't bother me as I am not from the UK and am used to very hot summers.

Honestly I wouldn't do it. In my last pregnancy I was considered low risk and had a totally normal pregnancy until my lo came suddenly at 29 weeks for unknown reasons. It can happen to anyone so I wouldn't take the risk. This time I'm not leaving the city after 20 weeks!

I wouldn't do it because of the travel insurance issue. After 28 weeks it would be hard to find insurance that'd cover the cost of your delivery, any special care baby might need if born prematurely, or the cost of accomodation (even a healthy baby isn't allowed to fly until 2 weeks) and getting you all home.

If it was already booked / you were already pregnant I'd be all "wait and see" but since you have the choice to wait to ttc 28 ish weeks sounds a lot more reasonable.

I'm currently 34 weeks pregnant and really healthy, still booking theatre trips etc and going down to London (2 hour train journey) for a 12 hour day of sightseeing at 36 weeks so I'm not mega cautious or speaking from experience of bad pregnancies or anything. In the UK I think the latest holiday I've had (expecting DC4) I came home at 37+2 as wanted to be home when officially full-term.

I went to Turkey around 30 weeks, had my doctor's letter etc and no complications.
At check-in they refused to let me board the plane home.
I had to stand at the desk refusing to move while everyone in the airport came and inspected me and my letter. They said I would need a new letter for the journey home, but we knew our doctor wouldn't sign one without seeing me.
We were just investigating the cost of a rental car to drive home when the airline gave in and let me board.

I didn't really enjoy the holiday as I was too big to deal with the heat. Unknown to me I was carrying excess fluid.

Pregnant again now, 32 weeks and can barely face going to ASDA.

My advice would be not to risk it.
