So, I got some clothes that fit but want some new clothes as bump.is getting bigger, mostly my tops are limited. I've had a love online and in the shops there doesn't seem to be many marternity clothes about. Just wondering where most people are buying their clothes ?

I got a few bits from boohoo but they're not very nice quality. I got a big bundle off ebay, mostly h&m stuff, which is lovely. I just need a couple of pairs of jeans and a skirt now, thinking of looking in asda.

I liked H&M. Also got a few basic t shirts from new look

I bought all my maternity clothes from ASOS. So much choice and free delivery/returns so you can order loads of stuff, try it all on at home and send back anything you don't like.

I tried other places too but didn't like the quality and/or fit - Topshop, H&M and New Look were awful for me. I think Next do maternity too so might be worth a look?

H&M has been really great for me and found some stuff in other places which although aren’t maternity - it’s fitted so works for later on too :)

I got loads of stuff from H&M, depending on your budget Seraphine are good too.

I didn't bother with maternity clothes
A) because they weren't all that nice
B) they're expensive too
I found buying clothes I could wear post pregnancy better value and I'd get more wear out of them. I'd sometimes buy a size bigger. But generally wore leggings etc with a kimono/blazer that type of thing.

H&M do long vest tops (normal range) I just bought one size bigger and they have been brilliant, literally live in them.

New look do some cute dresses

I found maternity jeans okay in early second trimester but as I got bigger and got bad PGP I found them so uncomfortable to get on and I just switched to leggings.

If you workout, gap maternity leggings are great.

ASOS also has lots of stock but I’ve found the maternity dresses hit and miss.

Sorry posted too soon.

But I did get the odd maternity wear from ASOS mainly. They have a wider range of clothing in my experience

I’ve got a pair of yoga pants from Mothercare. I’m really pleased with them - they are so comfortable, and the only trousers I have which will stay up reliably. They are also convertible - they go under-bump, mid-bump and over-bump very readily. Might even invest in a second pair.

Seraphine have quite a good sale on right now. If I had any money, I’d definitely have invested!

So far, h & m, George at Asda, boohoo and matalan.

Some lovely stuff and not too pricey !

Clevs · 18/01/2019 22:16

H&M for tops.
GAP for jeans.

I did click & collect and ordered a variety of colours/sizes then went to the shop to try on. What I didn't want got returned there and then.

H & M and New Look haveca decent range and regular sales. I have bought a few good tops for about £7 ideal for work (shirt type) and jeans for about a tenner. Got a gorgeous pair of comfy over bump cropped joggers for £7 too from H&M.

I have also bought cheap leggings, vest tops and stretchy long sleeve tops in Primark which i wear with mat bottoms and able to wear normal cardis, scarves etc with.

Did invest in a good coat from Jojo Bebe Maman.... worth every penny. And a jumper dress from Mothercare (was about £30 but has a breastfeeding vest top underneath so get 2 pieces).

I have also got a lush pair of tailored trousers from Next, £5 on Ebay and a pair of Jeans from Next (splurge at £25 in the sale from £50 but look expensive). Generally selection on the high street is crap (although loads available online if you are willing to pay).

I have also had friends finding good bargains in charity shops (i have looked but not managed to find anything i like in my size!). I would say don't waste too much money and invest in things you can wear once baby is here (leggings, vest tops and layers)

Hiphopopotamous · 18/01/2019 22:33

We live in a big city and the range of maternity wear in stores is awful.

ASOS has loads of choice and free delivery and returns.

Triskaidekaphilia · 18/01/2019 22:43

If anyone needs cheap plain work type shirts in black or white I've just been on george and they have short sleeved ones on sale for £2! I'm not actually in mat wear yet but will need them in spring/summer so I bought a weeks worth Grin

barneymcgroo · 18/01/2019 23:34

I got a couple of things from eBay, second hand from friends for the rest. Went to oxfam for a couple of large men's jumpers for the last few weeks, but mostly just tried to get by without buying too much. The few bits I did buy I wanted to be able to wear after, so went for nursing tops etc.

Clevs · 19/01/2019 00:17

Forgot to say, if you don't mind second hand there's a good Facebook group called 'Preloved maternity and nursing clothes UK'.

Buddytheelf85 · 19/01/2019 09:18

I’ve boght a few dresses (in the sale, which is still on, as they’re pricey) from Seraphine. They’re lovely and cleverly designed - I actually think I could wear some of it when not pregnant.

I work in a corporate environment so I have to look smart - would have loved to try and get away with leggings and tunics but it just wasn’t going to happen. I’m actually only 13+5 but all my pre-pregnancy work stuff is really tailored, so it’s already really uncomfortable.

I did order some stuff from ASOS but didn’t get on with it. I’ve heard Next is good.
