Right so you would think I'd be a expert by now as this is my 3rd child but I've been hit with massive baby brain and feel like I can't remember everything I need so here's a list of what I've got so far

Pram
Carseat
Cot
Next to me crib
Crib sheets
Blankets
Muslin squares
Steriliser and bottles
Bottle warmer
Baby grows in different sizes
Vests in different sizes
Changing mat
Changing bag
Winter coat
Bibs
Socks
Hats
Bouncer

I think that's it. Haven't been and got the milk yet but have got the previous made bottles with sterile teats in hospital bag ready to go.
And I know I need to get a bath seat and towels but can you ladies think of anything else. I really feel Un prepared for some reason oh and I'm 35 weeks so need to get a wriggle on. Thanks in advance for any replies. Xx

I think that's a really good list!
I found that when you think you have enough muslin cloths, you probably need more lol.

I've found our nappy bins to be a lifesaver. We've got 2 of the angelcare ones. Completely air tight so they don't stink (apparently tommy tippee ones are awful for bad smells)

rosydreams · 17/01/2019 14:52

bath support
car sun shade
car seat

bottles/steamer
bibs
bottles warmer
baby chair
baby mobile
nursing bra
hospital bag
nursing pads
nappys
wipes

You looking to get a baby monitor? thats the only thing thats on my list that isn't mentioned above, you've covered everything else on my list lol

rosydreams · 17/01/2019 15:08

o yeah i didnt put a baby monitor on mine because we still have the old one

Mummykaz90 · 17/01/2019 15:11

Me and oh debated a nappy bin but decided not to at the mo..and see how it's goes lol.

That's a great list cot mobile something I didn't even think about I shall add that one

And yes we were thinking of getting one but not straight away as bub will be with one of us at all times.

Isn't it funny how much stuff you forget to think about I still feel like I am missing loads. But obviously am not lol I think I just need to get a few bits and bibs for hospital bag too so that's next on my list to focus on

We found our nappy bin really useful, and a baby bath from ikea. We have a huge bath so it seemed wasteful to fill each night. She’s using her bath seat more now she’s getting too big for the baby bath at 4 months old.

Lovely soft towels, get several as they wee on them.

A snowsuit? Warmer than a coat if outside for a while plus they have mittens you can fold down and a hood.

I really wish I hadn’t gone overboard with the clothes. You don’t need bloody mittens as sleepsuits have sleeves you can fold down. Barely needed hats as all outdoor jackets had hoods. I would say just don’t bother getting ‘outfits’ until they move into 3-6 months clothes. We have so many wasted clothes that dd wore once and it looked uncomfortable so I took it off or was just too much faff to put on in the first place. Sleepsuits and vests.

What will baby be sleeping in? I would really recommend grosnugs for newborns. I wouldn’t have been able to sleep if dd was under blankets and her grosnugs were well used. She’s now in normal sleeping bags.

Nappies, nappy cream, a sling, wipes for out and about.

Mummykaz90 · 18/01/2019 14:03

Some usefull things on here I didn't even think about. I have already got some nappies and wipes just haven't stocked up on many yet as don't know what size she is going to be or what brand is going to suit her. I have just been and got a few more little bits and bobs and we'll I think whatever I haven't got now I can always get once she's here. Smile

I found a night light useful when waking up for night feeds, so not to wake my dp up by turning on main light!
Black and white baby books got my D's interested in books from early age (not necessary though)

rosydreams · 18/01/2019 16:16

The reason i put bibs on mine is babys spit up a lot in my family i really like the asda ones terry towel with a waterproof backing keeps their clothes dry and clean.

As for baby bedding i should have separated into its items

fitted sheets
flat sheets
cellular blankets
baby sleeping bag

For bin i personally just used a bin and occasionally sprinkled some neatradol green in there to keep it fresh

This is my personal favorite mobile cheap cheerful and lovely ,i am going to start playing its tune to my bump so they can start associating it with comfort.

As for clothes i have yet to decide still waiting on gender scan as i still have my daughters old baby clothes. But if its cold you will need hats

farfromhome24 · 18/01/2019 17:37

Mummykaz90 · 18/01/2019 17:38
