Sorry for the grim subject, but not sure if I should be concerned or not.

For the last few days Iv been going to the toilet on average 6 times a day with very loose poops. It's 7:40am and iv already been twice.

Is this normal as we approach the end or is this something to be worried about.

I'm fine health wise and feel fine before and after the toilet- it's always just a semi urgent need to go when I need to.

Thank ladies...

I've had this since about 34 weeks (currently 38) going maybe 6 times a day with the odd few days of normality here and there. I've no idea the cause, but my midwife wasn't concerned. I figure there's just no room left for food or pointless waste products (sorry that's grim) so it's a faster turn-around!

Prolonged full on diarrhoea is a problem, but it doesn't sound like you have that? I'd just bring it up with your midwife next time you see her :)

And get some wet wipes for the bathroom and piles cream (I think think it's safe during pregnancy? I've been using it anyway) if you're getting a little chafed and want to be tip top for labour is my tip!

Thanks for your reply! Yeah it's not an illness thing .. probably is due to lack of space :-D

Iv got toilet wipes as I was getting a bit sore from it all xx

If being sore is an issue I would also buy a bottle of witch hazel - that stuff works wonders after labour anyway, and you could either have it in a little spray bottle or if you're at home just put some on cotton wool. I'm much earlier on but have found it really helpful for general post bathroom soreness (as well as having been a godsend after my previous birth!)
