Any of you guys got an idea of what your baby's coming home outfit will be?

Those of you with children,what did your child wear as coming home outfit?

We just chose a baby grow we really loved (although she was bigger than expected and hubby had to pop to the shop to get a bigger size once she was here 😂). It was unisex and our next baby (boy) will come home in it too. I think it’s a really lovely thing to do. We also took some others we liked so if there had been any incidents we wouldn’t have been upset!

Make sure your dh knows he may need to dress the baby! One of my dh’s worst moments was a snappy healthcare assistant telling him he needed to get on with getting her dressed - he was shell shocked stressed and worried and terrified of how to handle dressing a tiny baby.

Babygro, cardigan and hat with a blanket over the car seat (it was December). I was so tired and desperate to get home that I wouldn’t have put him in a special outfit even if I’d brought one!

Another reason not to get too focused on outfits: I did buy a special “little brother” outfit for my sob to meet his brother for the first time and he puked down it five minutes after I put it on so he ended up meeting his brother in one of his standard babygros instead!

Babygro, you are far too tired to be bothered with fancy stuff and too concerned about breaking the little creature for fiddly outfits!

Some dungarees that say 'love you to the moon and stars' a gat, jacket and vest. He's wearing it again today, and we chose it before we found out he was a he. Wore it home 9 days ago!
