Bedside crib if you are a shortie

Did you remove your bedside table so the crib is more head level? I wasn't going to but I've put it beside my bed and feel like it's going to be a mammoth effort to try and wriggle down the bed to get out! I'm just over 5 foot.

Anyone else have this issue?

I used a Next to Me crib (borrowed as a last resort as DD wouldn't settle in the Moses basket! but bedroom furniture is built in so couldn't move the bedside table.

I moved my pillow down so I was sleeping level with her. But yes getting in and out was fun to say the least! Grin I just put up with it, was only for 7 months after all.

Yeah we moved the bedside table for the cotbed. I'm 5'1 and shuffled down the bed for the beat part of a year. Was a lot harder in the early days due to csection but I soon got used to it.

I'm 5ft7 and found it difficult to get out of bed with the bedside crib. But I also needed to have a glass of water! It was quite a pain.

I'm 5'1. As pp I just shuffled down the bed and moved the pillow. Bit of a pain but worth it for the convenience of having the baby so close I think. It's also really not for long.
I tried moving the bedside table but I didn't have anywhere else to easily rest a drink or my glasses, and if you're breastfeeding in the night, you really need a drink.
