Enhanced Maternity Pay

For those of you who's employer offers Enhanced Maternity Pay........I was just wondering whether any conditions are attached to it?

For example I would qualify for just over four months of full pay (spread over the time I would take off) inclusive of SMP. However, i couldn't leave my job for one year after the end of May leave otherwise I'd have to pay back the enhanced mat pay.

What is everyone else's enhanced maternity pay package like?

Teacher - must return to work for 13 weeks or repay enhanced maternity pay.

No clawback - about 6 months full pay and 3 months on stat. It’s a brilliant package though.

Have to return for 3 months or have to repay enhancement back xx

sar302 · 07/01/2019 09:32

Had to go back for three months, or return the money

Ijustwanttofeelbeautiful · 07/01/2019 09:38

20 weeks full pay, no clawback.

DragonMamma · 07/01/2019 09:40

I had 18 weeks full pay and had an 18 week clawback which was pro-rata upwards if you returned on reduced hours.

6 months half pay (including SMP).

Had to stay for 2 years or pay back the enhanced element. If I'd have left after 1 year, 50% was repayable.

If you had a subsequent pregnancy within 2 years, you were not entitled to the enhanced pay (just SMP).

No strings. 6 months full pay.

Option of 6 months full pay, additional 3 months statutory pay, unpaid leave for a further 3 months. Have to return for the equivalent of one month of hours based on your working pattern pre-maternity leave (a lot of people here go part time after maternity).

I think that is very good, I’ve seen one year return requirements in several organisations.

I get sat mat so rubbish, but my best friend got full pay for 6 months, then half pay for another 6 months. She had to go back to work after mat leave for 6 months otherwise she had to pay it back, but the amount she had to pay back decreased every month she was back for (so didn't return she paid it all back, or if she was back for 3 months she had to pay half etc).

6 months full pay, 3 months smp. Have to do 5 months of hours I've done prior to maternity or equivalent of. So if i drop part time it would be nearer 7/8 months or I have to pay back the omp.
