Hey trying to work out what we need for our girl arriving in 14 weeks. Do you any of you think it'a worth it to get the tommee tippee sangenic?

GOD YES.

We have 2 and they’re brilliant. Dirty nappies go in and the. Get twisted away. We’ve one in the lounge and one in our bedroom and it just makes nappy changes so quick and easy.

The cartridges are easy to replace too :)

No! Much simpler to just bag the nappies and put in outside bin rather than making sausages out of them, to be stored inside the house. We had one when first dc was little but very rapidly it became an unused ornament in the corner because it smelt and was just pointless. At least that was our experience.

I had one when they first came out and I loved it.

Ended up with two, one in DD's nursery and one down stairs for day nappy changes. She's over a year old and still using them. It's not practical for us to get to the outside bins multiple times a day (especially with a winter newborn) so the sangenic keeps the smell contained.

Depends how close you are to the outside bin. I had one for dd but didn't bother with ds a it was easy enough to go to the outside bin with pooey nappies whereas wet ones just went in the kitchen bin

Topseyt · 03/01/2019 18:11

I had one when DD1 was born 24 years ago. It worked well for us then because we lived in a top floor flat and would otherwise have had to go up and down 5 flights of stairs at every nappy change.

When we moved to a house a year later then simply bagging and binning the nappies was better and the sangenic became redundant. I then threw it out.

In short, it is your friend if you have no easy access to an outdoor bin. Otherwise, I wouldn't bother with one.

We use ours constantly. Saves individual bagging up and bin trips.

We have two also. Swear by them. Our outside bin isn't easy to get to. They keep all the smell in and everything neat and tidy
