Anyone else got a bit of a feeling what they’re having without having anything confirmed? Or anyone thought they knew early doors and got the sex confirmed?

Check out the documentary called '8 boys and wanting a girl'... You'll soon see how right @JamieOliversChickenNugget is about some women!

I have a daughter. Not gonna lie... I'd have been disappointed if I only ever had boys. Wouldn't love them any less but all my life I've wanted a daughter! I convinced myself I was having a boy and I think that it was because I didn't want to be disappointed with not having a girl first. My boyfriend did the same but the other way round haha! She's the apple of his eye though 😍

Oh and to add.. I was actually a little disappointed when I found I was having a girl as I had properly convinced myself it was a boy and I had really warmed to the idea. I'm not a bad person I swear 😂😂😂

I have read about a lot of women wanting girls and being disappointed to have boys but I really wanted a boy (although would have been made up with either as it took 9 years and many IVF cycles to get him)

There's only going to be 17 months between DCs and this one was a natural miracle conception as DS was from donor eggs so it would be nice to have a girl as don't think we will be lucky enough to have anymore but I just feel so lucky to be blessed with another either way

I'm also amazed by how many people post gender reveals and you can see when they look disappointed and there does tend to be a pattern of women wanting girls and men wanting boys judging by the clips I see at least

I know loads of women who convince themselves they're having a boy so as not to be disappointed when it is one.
Also, people's language is very giving when you disclose the sex. People openly celebrate girls linguistically 'oh how lovely'. Especially on a 2nd or 3rd boy, people say things like 'oh well you can use the same stuff' or 'never mind you can try again' or 'are you disappointed'.
Boys are seen as worse, I've only rarely heard women disappointed when having a girl, and usually that's when it's a third.

I was right with both, but I had a 50/50 chance and therefore a 25% chance of guessing both correctly ;) I just got a feeling from how "big" they were at the 12 week scan since I knew my dates were 100% accurate. DS showed 5 days bigger so I thought boy, DD showed 1 day smaller so thought "small, must be a petite girl" lol. Im still pregnant (22w) with DD though so maybe she'll come out a boy now I've said that :)

I’m having twin girls and I had a strong feeling they were girls from the start 😊

SqutternutBoshh · 02/01/2019 19:29

@BeverlyZimek oh I'm so jealous! I'd LOVE to have twins! My siblings and my Mum/Uncle are twins so it's possible for my next pregnancy... Fingers crossed!

Hi, has anyone used the scan nub theory to guess the sex if there baby?

gebs · 02/01/2019 22:27

I had barely any sickness and had a couple of dreams it was a boy so was convinced... I was wrong, it's a girl!

limomo82 · 03/01/2019 00:17

2nd time with DD I 'knew' from about ten weeks. Didn't have a gender scan but felt more confident after the scan. It was weird. A very overwhelming feeling that I was right!!?
