My back gone 😩 help x

Hi ladies,

My back 'went' this morning and I don't know what I can do to treat it. I have suffered in the past with this a bit although not often, maybe once every few years or so. Ordinarily I'd take anti-inflamatory and use heat packs etc but know I can now.

Anyone got any ideas on how I can treat it? Reluctant to go to the docs as doubt they'll be able to do anything?

Would really appreciate any advice - thanks xxx

I think you can be prescribed co-codomal if your doctor deems it safe.

I have used a heat pad with hip pain. It was a drug free one and as long as you're not overheating or you're core temperature isn't being raised they are fine for short periods. I've used hot water bottles for shoulder pain too. Provided you're out of first trimester.

Walk about, exercise is good for your back. When you sit down, make sure that your posture is balanced.
Last on the floor with your knees raised, feet flat on the floor and rock gently from side to side letting your knees roll to the floor.
Kneel on your hands and knees keep your back flat and then arch your back like a cat, using your tummy muscles to pull up and down
Kneel on your hands and knees, back flat and then push your bottom back and stretch like a cat.
Do everything gently and stop if it hurts, take regular painkillers and use a hot water bottle!

Osteopath?

Thanks ladies. It does ease a little (or rather I can walk a bit better) when I get up and about but painful. I'm 35 weeks so defo out of first tri! 😊

I'll see how a night in bed does it and reassess in the morning xx

I would recommend an ice pack on it for a few mins before bed. Then tomorrow try and keep moving as much as you can, little bits of walking here and there to stop it siezinh up and a hot water bottle.
