Keep me company in early labour?

Hey all.. 39+4 today, had a bloody show this morning and now my contractions have started but still far apart.
Have my tens machine ready but not sure when to use it..
Any advice to get through this is welcome!!

You sound like you are in the same boat as me!
I got sent home today for being 2cm dilated too! I just have a constant ache in my tummy and lower back. It's not getting any better or worse so god knows what's happening!

My early labour went on for ages as well. I My only tip would be to eat or, if you can't eat, sugary drinks and spoons of honey. Need the energy and vomiting can be because of low blood sugar.

I hope things get more regular for you.

Things seem to be picking up again and all I'm thinking about is maybe I should run for that epidural!

I think I may also be in very early labour. 39+3 today and had very mild contractions yesterday every 3ish hours but they stopped at 3am. Had lower back and abdominal pain for 2 days now as well.
No words of advice just to say I know how you feel or at least I think I do 😂 good luck OP. Xx

aaaarti stop start, long intervals could be baby getting into position. Try not to rush this bit. If baby is in the right position then labour will be smoother and less uncomfortable. I'm a doula

@harrypotterfan1604 hope it speeds up for you, one step closer to meeting your little one!! Scared to go hosp and I'm only dilated by an extra cm!
@spotsbeformyeyes thank you for the advice! Contractions are 6mins apart so getting there slowly but surely!

4cm woohoo! And they're letting me stay in hosp.. gas and air got me a bit loopy but I think epidural maybe needed later!
This baby didn't like the sound of 2018!

I'm just the same, constant tummy & back pain but no contractions. Very frustrating as nothing will ease the pain

Good luck... I spent nye 1996 in hospital in labour ☺️ my first baby is 22 today! How exciting for you all!
