How can I make myself more comfortable?

Seems extreme at just 25 weeks I know. But this is my second baby and never had this feeling with my first.

I feel like there is no more room left in my body already. I've been having movements since 11 weeks (confirmed at 12 week scan), clear sightings of bum, elbows and knees sticking out for about 6 weeks now... even though I have an anterior placenta.

Underneath my belly button, is still soft and roomy, above my belly button and up toward my chest is FULL of baby! It's big, it's rock solid and it's bloody uncomfortable.

My skin feels like it's going to rip, I'm breathless constantly from the weight, my sides are hurting.

But mainly, I have pain down low and in my coccyx, when I stand up, roll over in bed, or get in and out of the car, the pain buckles me, and I can't put weight on my feet, or have to move really slowly.

I can't sit without feeling like I can't breathe because I feel baby is literally in my chest.

My only relief is the bath, but I have work, a 2 year old, and well a water bill ha, which means I can't be in the bath 24/7!

I have tried a support belt, but my bump is so high, it effectively does nothing.

Sorry for the rant, I am just freaking about how much bigger I'm going to get and how much worse this feeling is going to get.

What else can I do to get some relief?

P.S. if it makes a difference, I'm 5.5, 9 stone 5, and first baby was 8lb 3.5 oz at 39 weeks... I feel like if I have a 15lber, I wouldn't be surprised Wink

I am finding this pregnancy harder than last, but can sympathise with the feeling of having no room left! DC1 was 10lb8oz, I’m 5”3, I definitely could not move at the end. Only slight relief was to lie back on an angle and not do very much. Have midwives checked position of your baby?

Not much help I know but sending my sympathy, this is no fun with 2yr olds on the go at the same time!

Have you been told the position of your baby? Or can you see/feel it based on the movements you're getting?
Mine was transverse at about your stage and it made my bump feel tight where he was laying and extremely soft everywhere else, very uncomfortable and like there wasn't enough room for him to grow any more. Once he moved to head down everything felt so much more comfortable.
You could try exercises to encourage baby to move down so you can get some relief in your chest, there's loads of videos on YouTube for baby positioning. If transverse or breech have a look at spinningbabies.com, but I'm not sure if you're far enough along for the techniques here.

I so can relate to you right now! Im currently 28 weeks with my first and the baby is sitting so high and I've got the wobbly bit under my bellybutton so odd. Ive been so uncomfortable throughout that I'm sick everyday and my god the heartburn/acid reflux all day everyday its like the baby is sitting on my stomach! Oh even struggle with bras, I've tried sports bra and crop tops just feels like constant digging in that I've reached the point of acceptance of looking like an orangutan sitting there at home lol

Gosh this happened to me too - am now 37w and feeling fit to burst, but have been feeling like that since 20ish weeks. 2nd pregnancy. Was (vainly) hoping it meant I still had some semblance of stomach muscles left but suspect not.

The only thing that has ever really helped me is to do gentle pregnancy yoga moves including downward dogs. Seems to create some space in there. Maybe give it a try?

Yoga helped me a lot. Lots of "child's pose" made me feel roomier.

Yoga is helping me a lot with breathing & just everywhere as I’m also feeling very breathless and squished going into 29 weeks... highly recommend it!
