Has anyone got pregnant a few months after birth ??

Did the first pregnancy terrify you of giving birth again ??

Did you suggest pain relief ??

Just wanted other mothers thoughts of giving birth again a year after already giving birth ??

I am pregnant with my first but also interested in replies as I am hoping to get pregnant with my second sooner rather than later. I am planning in giving it six months to recover and then go for it!

I gave birth in June this year and currently approx 3 months pregnant again, both planned 😊

I was induced in June due to pre-eclampsia and the experience was horrific. Full blown contractions every 1 to 2 minutes for nearly 24 hours and refused pain relief (except paracetamol and a child's dose of dihydracodine (which didn't even touch the pain) cause I wasn't 4cm's dialated!

Didn't put me off tho, I can't wait to do it all again 😁

I'm not sure what you mean by did I suggest pain relief, but once I reached 4cm dialated with DD and moved to the Labour suite, within the hour I was given gas and air, morphine injection and an epidural. Then I slept until an hour before DD was born.

This time I'm going to do it without the epidural... haha might change my mind when the time comes tho!

Life circumstances led to the decision to get pregnant so quickly after giving birth and I am super excited DD will have a friend so close in age to play and grow up with.

I've read there's meant to be loads of risks, although I've not experienced any of them and I've known other people who had babies back to back who had no complications.

My older 2 have nearly a 2 year age gap so being pregnant with a baby is so much easier. She still sleeps lots through the day so I sleep with her which is great when I'm exhausted and she can't crawl yet so j don't have to run about after her... yet anyway. Plenty time to get the morning sickness out the way 😂

Thank you for the responses guys.

I'm petrified !!!!!

I keep thinking shall I get a C section just to not have to go through the pain again but I felt ok once baby was here.

My first birth was horrific !!!
Was quick so I can't complain contracting for 12 hours. Gave birth in 4 hours,

I honestly don't know what to suggest . The only thing that bothers me about epidural is not being able to feel anything and when I should push and baby not having complications or needs to be pulled out

You shouldn't feel worried about an epidural. I've had it with all 3 of my births and it has been well worth it.

Your midwife would never offer it to you once your labour is so far along to avoid the things you mentioned.

When I had DD in June, I woke up hours after having my epidural and I had feeling back. I still had quite a bit of relief from the pain but I could feel my contractions and that I needed to push. The midwife was great and one time I panicked cause I couldn't feel the next contraction so she told me when I was and to push. She was really great. Everything was so well timed.

Reason I might not have an epidural this time is I don't want to fall asleep, I want to enjoy my labour, and contractions cause it'll definitely be my last time haha. But as I said, that will probably change when the time comes 😁

Is this your first baby?

I had DD1 in December 2017, and DD2 is due in March 2018. This was planned, although I do still feel anxious about having two under two.

I was induced first time around, but I'm hoping I'll just go into labour naturally this time around. Everyone keeps telling me that labour is quicker second time around, which I'm praying to god is true!

I had an epidural first time, and I'll be definitely having it again this time. It didn't completely numb me, so I could still feel the contractions, although they weren't painful and I could still wiggle my toes etc.
