I don't think there's any rule as to when morning sickness can start!

Congratulations on your pregnancy!

Seeline · 14/12/2018 09:49

I was like that with both mine. I was being sick before it dawned on me that I might be pg!

Hairgician · 14/12/2018 09:49

Im only around 4 weeks and felt a bit icky earlier this morning. Seems to have settled but hoping its just me imagining it. Really wanted to get christmas over before the puking started!!

Anyat212 · 14/12/2018 09:50

Hi OP

Firstly congratulations!

It is common unfortunately mine started at 5 weeks and then got worse from 6 weeks on wards. The naeusa is awful as well though, if you’re struggling to drink water I found using a straw helped and ice lollies worked wonders. Hope you feel better soon.

JustWingingLifeAsUsual · 14/12/2018 11:26

Yep. My symptoms came on at 6 weeks. Was feeling like it all day every day until second trimester!

Kylieemilyj · 14/12/2018 19:38

Congrats :) Unfortunately this is common from what ive been told. My nausea started from about 5 weeks but sickness didnt start until about week 6, and lasted until week 17, im now week 19 and i still feel nauseous from time to time but I can usually control it by eating and ive felt more human these last 2 weeks. It will pass, but trust me I know how you feel, mine felt far too early too.

Wingingeverything · 15/12/2018 07:13

Congratulations! I had morning sickness(all day nausea as I like to call it 😄)from 5 weeks till I was 15 weeks.x

harrypotterfan1604 · 15/12/2018 07:21

Hi firstly congratulations :)
It started this early for me too.
The only thing that worked for me was eating 2 plain biscuits before I’ve even got out of bed in a morning, I’d take them to bed with me the night before and slowly nibble 1/2 before I got up and it’s the only thing they kept the sickness at a manage level level. Good luck

DeltaG · 15/12/2018 08:34

Yes. Mine started at 5 weeks with both pregnancies and continued until I gave birth. Without a doubt, the two worst periods of my life. Hope yours clears up soon!

DannyWallace · 15/12/2018 10:07

Ah you poor thing ❤️.
Mine started before 5 weeks (it was my first symptom and the reason I took a test).
Just to let you know though that while I felt pretty rough throughout the first trimester the sickness stopped at around 11 weeks (give or take a few random spews if I've not eaten enough!). So just because it starts early doesn't necessarily mean it will last longer x

If you're not able to keep anything down join a Facebook group called hyperemesis graviardum and pregnancy sickness support. You can get advice on medication to help. Congrats on your pregnancy!

toadabode · 30/12/2018 17:48

Definitely not too early and really sorry to tell you it's only like to get (much) worse. Good luck with your pregnancy!

Podemos · 30/12/2018 21:18

Are you taking pregnancy multivitamins (especially with iron)? It's taken me until 14 weeks to realise that these were at least 50% responsible for my sickness/ vomiting. Wish I'd just kept to the tiny folic acid ones I was taking while ttc.

emma1224 · 31/12/2018 01:56

I started at 4 weeks with nausea and then vomiting
I'm at 9 weeks now and it's becoming more bareable I think I'm just getting used to it

There is no set time to start some people have none

However I did get told that feeling icky is also a good sign As your producing all the goodness for baby , dunno how true that is but it makes me feel better when feeling poorly x
