Whooping cough - reaction to the jab?

I had my whooping cough and flu jabs on Monday, all fine at the time but since then my whooping arm has got progressively more sore, the area is raised and red and very hot... about the size of two fifty pences... has anyone else had a reaction like this? How long would you give it to get better before calling the GP? (The flu arm is totally fine!)

That's normal. My nurse who does all the vaccines chimes out "it'll be red and hard and hot to touch" and that if it's tetanus I won't be able to sleep on that arm!

Takes about 2 weeks to go down.

Not everyone gets it that bad, for example I react to tetnus, flu and hep b like that but not whooping cough or anti d.

Oh thanks that’s good to know... mine didn’t mention that. Annoyingly it’s on my right arm which is the side I sleep on as my heartburn is out of control on the left... I feel like I have zero sleep options!!

Likewise here arm was very sore couldn’t sleep on that side. Had a lump on it lasted about 5 days. I got whooping cough and flu a few weeks apart and it only happens for whooping cough

I just had my whooping cough jab and it's red, raised and still sore.

The jab I had also had tetanus, diphtheria and polio in it.

My arm was very sore but not red and it went down in a couple of days. Could be infection at the site of injection? Keep an eye on it.

It’s 4 days in now and it’s all inflamed so asking GP to give me a quick ring to check if this falls within “normal reaction”
