I’m pregnant with our third child but I’m still stuck in what to get. This one was surprise and we gave all our other baby things away. Anyway I’m sturggling in deciding what to get the baby to sleep in. My other two had Moses baskets and then a swinging crib, after they outgrew the Moses basket. So do I just get the swinging crib, but the Baby can’t sleep downstairs or do I get a next to me crib?! Thanks in advance :)

You can get Moses baskets really cheaply so I’m having a Moses basket downstairs and borrowing a next to me for upstairs (also got rid of all my baby stuff after swearing I’d NEVER have another Hmm)

I'm using the pram carrycot to sleep in downstairs and a co sleeper crib for upstairs. With my first I just had a swinging crib but we were in a flat then.

We have a next to me. It’s ace. Also it can be taken down relatively easily and put in a bag in case you go away anywhere and baby still sleeps in their own bed. Worked a treat for us.

Oh and as OP says the pram carrycot for downstairs. I didn’t do that this time but I would if we have another. Saves space and having another thing in the house. Many of them are approved for sleeping in.

This is my third and we also got rid of most of our stuff. We’ve put the tutti bambini co sleeper crib for upstairs and will use the pram carrycot downstairs. Not that my last 2 babies would ever sleep anywhere except on me!

We live all in one level, but have a Snuzpod (which I love, especially as the sleeping bit comes off) and the pram (approved for even overnight sleeps) in our living room. You may not necessarily have to go all out, but may be able to use the pram carrycot as the downstairs place of sleeping!

My question is, are daytime naps okay in bouncers?

TheOrangeOwl · 10/12/2018 12:32

Just to clarify - Snuzpod is in the bedroom!

Canders · 10/12/2018 12:49

I'm having the same problem, just can't decide.

Are the next to me cribs easy to carry? Can you for example take it downstairs easily when you want to?

KittyMcTitty · 10/12/2018 12:59

We have just purchased a sleepyhead for naps (really easy to move) and next to you for the bedroom - I don't think you would want to carry it around the house! Ok to move as a travel cot but bit cumbersome to carry up and down the stairs.
They do some really cheap moses baskets - if you wanted one in asda.

TerriB84 · 10/12/2018 13:18

We bought a snuzpod bedside crib and one of our reasons for choosing this brand was as a PP mentioned the top part can be lifted off the legs easily to be used downstairs. My DD just managed to last 6 months in it before we moved her over to her cot.

Worieddd · 10/12/2018 13:21

This time I have decided to sack off bedside cribs and have placed the cot bed next to my bed and purchased a sleepyhead instead

Thank you everyone. I’ve heard really good reviews on the snuz pod and the sleepy head. I think I may use the snuz pod in our room and the sleepy head downstairs .
