Hi, I don't know if anyone can help.

I had a missed miscarriage at 12 weeks scan on 16th October, had surgery to end the pregnancy on 19th October.

I bled for a few days but then stopped.

We started trying again.

I then didn't get my period and did a first response test which was positive 1-2 weeks.

Got in touch with GP who did a test which was negative but also sent me for bloods. Turned out I'm not pregnant again but I still have hcg levels in my system.

Been for bloods 4 times which hcg is now down to 12.

I've had more blood loss (mucousy) this week which I had hoped was my period but wasn't.

Just wondering if anyone else has had a long wait for their period and hcg levels to go down? I'm really worried at the length of time since the miscarriage and worried that it may not at all (I'm 41)

I would be pushing for a scan to check for retained products.

@Jackshouse thank you for replying.

I think I might have to. I've been getting pain down in my ovary area and my next appointment isn't til 11th

You need to be seen before then.

Did you go to the EPAU at any time or have any scans? I was told after both miscarriage to take a pregnancy two weeks after I had stopped bleeeing and if it was positive to contact them.

I was at my 12 weeks scan when the miscarriage was diagnosed. That was 16th October.
Will be 7 weeks on Tuesday.
I'm still getting faint positives
