Pushchairs

I need help with pushchairs..... there's so many out there!

Ideally want to buy a bundle set so it will do for a good year or hopefully longer.

Keep seeing on Groupon about a brand called kinderkraft which had decent reviews but wondered what people would recommend.

We don't have loads to spare and would ideally like a set for around £700 max.

Like to go for walks and plan to do that with baby so we get out of the house so would need to be sturdy as well.

Depends what you want, will you be using public transport, or car? Also first baby? For example do you want something that could convert into a double further down the line for a sibling?

You can't get a travel system that will fulfill all your criteria so the best thing to do is list your must haves e.g. must be less than Xcm wide so fits through our narrow doors, must fold down to fit into the boot of our Y car. Once you have those then start looking.

Don't be afraid to look at second hand stuff. Just make sure you buy a new mattress for any pram part and a new car seat.

Also you may find it easier to use a sling/carrier especially when the baby is 3 months or younger, and a stroller when the baby is over 6 months. With the sling/carrier go to a sling library to try some out.

I would be wary about a relatively unknown brand for such a big purchase especially if it's through Groupon. You want to be sure that there's a good warranty of at least a year.

I bought a Jane all-terrain pushchair with car seat and isofix base all for under £700. It's been brilliant. Jane is a lesser known brand in the UK but some of the major retailers do sell them. Our kit all came with a two year warranty and the customer service from Jane on a couple of things has been outstanding.

Echoing PP. look on FB my sister is selling her system she paid £700 for £200. The market is saturated with them so you’ll get a bargain!

Buying second hand (apart from car seat) is a great option!! But if you really want new then the Mothercare Orb is fantastic! Strudy and comfy and my son used it til he was 2 and we are going to use it again for this baby. So simple to work and cosy! Comes with a cybex car seat in the bundle and you just need to buy the isofix. Within your budget and my car boot is small and it fits. The bassinet turns into the upright seat too so you save space not having so many parts and you can have it front or rear facing at any time. Only downside is the basket is quite small. Other than that I can't fault it. X

I don't mind getting things second hand so that's definitely something to think about.

This is the first DC and hoping to get a good enough system so it will last with anymore as well.
