Waters breaking?!

So me and my OH had sex (sorry tmi) about 4 hours ago. And was having cramps every 5-7 minutes after about an hour, for about an hour. Got up just now and went for a wee. Stood on my phone for a few minut s and then as I walked back to the bedroom I felt liquid run down my legs and heard it land on to the landing floor (both legs down to my feet) and soaked my inner thighs. The liquid was clear/pale white and didn't smell like wee but wasn't oderless either. Nothing since other than my normal backache. What do you think?!

So basically you want random people on the internet to tell you whether it was cum or your waters? I think you're going to have to rely on your own best judgment to be honest Confused

I know that a lot of people experience their waters breaking following either sex or peeing so wanted any advice/opinions off people who have been through that and how they knew the difference. I don't think their was any need for the response to be honest, as a FTM at over 38 weeks I have no idea what to expect and find these forums really insightful.

Ahem as someone who has had this exact experience with dc1 at 38 weeks I would advise you to speak to your midwife.
Dont worry, you wont have been the only one whos got a last bit of loving in pre-birth!
Besides isnt it an old wives tale that it gets labor going?
Something to do with hormones in the sperm I believe.
And umm perhaps have a little swill in a plain water bath (just in case some poor midwife has to investigate you at some point soon Blush)
In my own experience, my waters breaking did not immediatly start labor so best to check in with triage, see what they suggest.

RCohle Good chance its both to be fair!

This happened to me when I was a teen and pregnant with my first, I was so embarrassed that I didnt seek any help, I was sure I had wet myself but it didnt smell like urine etc I didnt have anyone I could have asked, I felt my midwife was only ever speaking to my mum and expecting her to fill me in on the rest.
There were a lot of things that I was unaware of.
This was before smartphones etc, had no internet access and no friends who could relate. Add a DM who was not approachable, yet managed my appts and made calls on my behalf.
I ended up just waiting it out and ended up with an infection and having to be induced because my baby was in distress.

Aargh mumsnet needs an edit button! I meant to say I waited it out over a week, before I ended up telling someone and got taken to hospital.

You need to phone the labour ward and see what they want you to do.
