Hi,

Just testing the water.

Managing 3-4 hours sleep per night and feeling so tired I am bearly able to move by early afternoon. Have tried taking naps but cannot sleep as I feel too tired if that makes any sense!!!!

Is anyone else feeling or has felt like this ?

Can't answer that one, but I manage about 6-7 hours a night and am like a zombie all day !!! Am 35+5 and always feel tired!

Hi,

Thanks. Next week is my last week at work thankfully just need to hang on till then.

Just worried that if I feel like this now how will I cope when LO eventaully arrives. (probably an irrational fear but a fear all the same).

i felt like this too and ended up taking mat leave earlier than planned. ds was born at 37wks so glad i did!
trust your body, if its telling you to slow down, do.

fwiw i felt more tired when pregnant than since ds has arrived

I posted earlier in the week with the same problem. Sleep not great at night, either too hot or can't get comfortable.

Feeling constantly zonked. It seems to be a common problem.

Have been told that it will get better once I give up work ( only 19 days to go and counting!!!!).

littleyawner · 22/06/2007 15:31

Thanks Feb,

I was hoping that someone would say that they felt that way.

I am so used to being on the go all the time its really hard to accept that you cant do all the things you are used to doing.

Cup -I'll have a look for that.

I am supposed to be going to a friends parents wedding anniversary party tomorrow its a bit out of the way in the country, another friend is driving but i think i will have to give it a miss.

I was looking forward to it as well.

There should be a free health farm for all pregant ladies to go to when they start their mat leave. At least that way we woulds not get frustrated abuot being in a house where we are too tired to do anything that needs doing and we would not get annoyed when it its not done in the way we wanted !

Have you got any holiday you can use to take a day off in the middle of the week? I did that last time and it really helped. Am trying to do the same this time as well...

cupcake78 · 22/06/2007 15:40

Mumpbump is right a day off during the week does make a difference. Mid week is good!

i found i was fine in the mornings but by mid afternoon was cream crackered. know what you mean about being used to being on the go. My DP made me take early leave when i fell asleep at the dinner table after working 11 hour days!
once on maternity leave i had a siesta every day and felt much better.
am soooo of all you pregnant ladies!

shorter days/shorter weeks definitely help

Is your blood pressure on the low side ? Good for the baby, but can make you feel tired. Also how are your iron levels ? If both those are OK then I'm afraid you'll just have to wait for the birth...after that you'll be tired but in a different way...

Princesspowersparkle · 22/06/2007 16:23

I went through a stage about 33 weeks where I was so tired but I couldn't sleep. It was really frustrating. Luckly I am now on maternity and can sleep in the day (which for some reason I find easier).
Hope you get some sleep soon.
