Fell over + reduced movements - help

Hi -

I fell over yesterday lunchtime (lack of balance on my part) and while I'm pretty sure I landed totally on my knee, I did end up flat on my front & I got a bit of a shock. After this i started paying close attention to kicks and movements - they appeared normal at first but after tea (6pm) I noticed she had stopped totally. Baby is normally very very active and so I panicked and rang the assessment unit late last night. They were lovely and assured me baby is okay using the Doppler. The midwife said to go home and not worry about movements overnight.

So obviously I slept badly and I haven't felt the baby since - when should i start to worry?! Is 26 weeks really too early for normal regular movements? She's normally very active and appeared to have a pattern since about 22 weeks.

Thanks :)

If you are still concerned make a fuss and go back to your assessment unit. You know your baby best.

Oh my lord are you in the UK? I woukd complain about them saying about use of a doppler. Look at kicks count. They are highly against the use of them as can give false reassurance. Please ring up again or go get checked out

I think she went in and the pregnancy unit checked her with the doppler, which is quite common practice I believe. They don't always go straight to the movement monitor if there's a heartbeat and they can hear movement on the doppler, especially at earlier gestation. But yes, definitely call again if you are still worried.
