Hi
Has anyone had Xonvea prescribed for them? If so how did you find it?

Really suffering and need to find something to control the nausea.

Hi, did you end up taking this? I’m looking into it as I just can’t continue with these debilitating symptoms. I have a 1 year old to look after and suffering so much

I haven't been on this but did get given ondansatron and metoclopromide to help treat my hyperemesis. May be worth asking for those.

Hi both.
I'm currently on Xonvea for hyperemesis and it takes the edge off so I can keep fluids down. I am taking the full dosage of 4 tablets but they start you on 2. I also found cyclizine beneficial but this hasn't been fully investigated in pregnancy.
Ondansetron is no longer recommended as first line treatment due to its small increase in birth defects/cleft palates.

@AAkim ondansatron is the main medication given if you go into hospital for help with pregnancy related nausea and vomiting as it's considered the most effective. It does carry a very slight risk of cleft and defects but the benefits outweigh the risks and has been used for over 20 years. Most hyperemesis patients are given this as their main medication option.

Thank you for your replies. I’m currently on Cyclizine Hydrochloride but it’s done nothing. Reading the above risks has really put me off taking anything though. I’m not actually being sick but I’m so nauseous I can barely get out of bed. I wasn’t informed of any risks when given this prescription, I was told it was perfectly safe
