Help me, I'm bored of morning sickness :(

I am 11 weeks pregnant on my 2nd pregnancy since my first MC at 10 weeks. I've had morning sickness on and off, last week my MIL died and so we've had a week of no routine, crappy food, takeaways and long days. I'm back to work today and I've been soooo ill.
This recent spell started yesterday afternoon, horrendous indigestion, throwing up and continually through this pregnancy I have had little to no appetite and I've not had the most healthiest of diets because of that. I have ME so rest and being healthy are really important, because if that boat is rocked even slightly my fatigue is horrendous.
I've told my boss at work that I'm PG again but the ladies I work with and generally have to phone to tell I'm unwell don't know and I feel cornered.
I really want to start eating correctly for the babies sake, and getting back into normality but this is feeling very overwhelming. I've got Gaviscon chewable tabs on the go, liquorice (I've also had 4-5 days worth of constipation at the moment, pregnancy is so glamorous), peppermint, chewing gum, mints etc and no prevail any tips?! Even ginger tea and biscuits aren't hitting it at the moment and they were my go to. This is my first baby so I really want to get this right.
Thanks in advance xxxx

Sorry to hear you're feeling so rough. If you're really struggling which it sounds like you are, you could speak to your GP about a prescription for anti- sickness tablets (e.g. cyclizine). Also, it's completely ok and understandeable to take time off work sick - if work know you are pregnant it won't affect your absence record. I've been signed off since I started feeling unwell - I work in a physical job (support work) and also have issues with fatigue (not ME though) and have really struggled to cope with the nausea. From here it looks like you have more than one compelling reason to take some time off work (pg, family loss, M.E), to get back into the routine of rest etc. Don't worry too much about diet - sure we would all love to be eating salad and veg but the thought of it just makes me feel sick - all I can tolerate when I feel ill is coke, cereal, crisps and toast and processed food. I am hopeful that I will crave veg again, fruit has been fine (im also 11 weeks). You said it makes fatigue worse which is understandeable but you can only do your best, and if that means sleeping all day then that is perfectly ok (I barely left my bed for days at a time when mine was bad week 6-9).

The people you tell don't have to know why you're phoning in sick, they just need to notify and if necessary the manager can check with you. You could say you'd rather not disclose the reason.

Virtual hand hold and hope things get easier soon Flowers

Hope that helps x

I found that acupressure sickness bands helped a little, they may be worth a try.

I could only tolerate beige /bland foods when I was at my worse and also felt bad about the lack of nutrition but I think you have to do what you can do get through it - don’t beat yourself up!

Also - not sure how much liquorice you are having but it may be better to cut it down as I don’t think it’s supposed to be safe in pregnancy - worth having a quick google.

Hope you feel better soon xx

@lou1984 thankyou I had no idea! I haven't had a lot of it, a few pieces of liquorice allsorts for the constipation, so I think I'm safe but I know now not to have anymore. @lstef thankyou for the sensible advice, I'm a bit put off taking things for sickness, as I dont want to rely on them or put anything in my body unless I absolutely have to. Thankyou to you both for reassuring me on my diet, I feel better about it. I need to bite the bullet with work and not feel guilty I guess whats going on with me is wayy more important, and after my scan which is next week I'm going to tell them anyway so I haven't got long to wait and I have the best excuse in the world then!

@Charrin - I'm the same re: medication, I would rather stay off work and manage with lots of rest and not doing much than going to work, feeling dreadful and having to take stuff to feel better.

For anyone that was interested (no one) I went to work this morning and saw my midwife and GP (as I work with them) and I've been signed off for a week. I'm very tired, dehydrated still throwing up and generally a mess. i felt bad but 2 professionals telling you, you have to listen. My husband is probably going to worry because he does but I'm going to rest up and not do anything for a week until my scan and hopefully I will be able to relax once thats out of the way!

I am also bored of it 😫 at 15 weeks some days I feel like it’s subsiding a little... I have found macaroni cheese an instant cure, in fact any cheese sauce based meal 😂 cauliflower cheese has to be healthy right?! Tiredness also makes it so much worse, my DD2 was up a lot last night, she is only six months, and I’m struggling today due to tiredness 😫
