Advice on premaking formula bottles

Hello I am a first time mum and don't have anyone I can ask advice so was hoping someone could help me as google is conflicting.
I am planning on using cow and gate formula when I have my baby and I was wondering what is the safest way to batch make. I know some people do 24 hour ones. I will probably do one in the morning and one in the eve so won't be any long than 12 hours in the fridge. I've read conflicting ways of making them up.
I've seen you can get premade now so we may use that for night feeds but it is quite pricey in comparison so would like the option.
Thank you for any help in advance. I very much appreciate it.

Again, boiling water will kill the bacteria but will also take away from the nutritional value of the milk powder.

Making at 70deg will kill the bacteria but will only slightly take away some of the nutrition of the milk.

Pre prep machines are more faff & another gadget to clutter your life up with IMO. Once you’ve done a few making a bottle is really quick.

Buy a kettle that heats to 70deg.
Use enough water to properly kill the bacteria in the powder
Use cold water for the balance of water required.

If you want to batch make them, then do, but flash cool and get them in the fridge quickly.

It’s really not complicated. Truly.

Wait for 20-30 minutes and then make up to eliminate the small risk of destroying heat sensitive nutrients in the formula.

Remember if you are boiling less than 1 litre of water 30 mins is too long.

We used to add boiled water to the bottle and let it cool down, then add powder when required. Useful for going out and about, but doesn't mitigate the "bacteria in milk powder" issue.

Best way to make is probably to boil the water, leave for a bit, add formula and then cool it down - we used to run the bottles outsides under a cold tap, then pop in the fridge to store. DD would only drink cold milk!

during the day we used to make fresh, boil, make up milk, put in container with cold water to cool down to right temp. At night (when DD was bit older), I used to pre-boil a flask of hot water, fill that up and already have cooled down water in bottles that I'd mix with hot water and formula.

I've used my perfect prep machine for nearly every bottle since DD was born, she's now 11 months and I've had absolutely no problems with it.

It's regularly cleaned and I change the filters as required, and it's been far the best and most used baby purchase we've had.

I also back the Perfect Prep.

So quick and simple and no running downstairs to the kitchen to make bottle in the night.

Used one with two DC and will with 3rd. Best thing I bought.

Great I think we will get one of the perfect prep day and night machines :)

I also vote for the perfect prep. We have it set up upstairs so I don’t have to go downstairs during the night.

Another vote for perfect prep! We love it. My favourite aspect is knowing the milk is at the perfect temperature as soon as it's made.

Only drawback is that there is a minimum volume per serve (4oz I think), so it's not too helpful with a newborn when they only drink 2oz or whatever.

We use the pre-made formula when going out. Baby happy drinking it at room temperature

Perfect prep is the best thing I ever bought. The boiling water kills any bacteria in the formula. My mil is a health visitor and was told she had to tell people that they weren’t advised purely because there wasn’t enough information about them yet. The older models are cheaper now.
