Okay, I apologise in advance for tmi here, so my partner and I decided we would try to conceive this month. I stopped my pill a week before it finished (25th October) (I know, not the best idea) we had dtd over the next 3 days, then I started a withdrawal bleed. This lasted for 5 days, not as heavy as normal, but still heavy enough to seem like a proper bleed, bright red/pink. Anyway, I honestly feel pregnant. I know this is mad, I have a 3 year old already and I can remember feeling exactly the same! Exhausted, sensitive nipples, heavy head cold feeling, headache every morning since Thursday, just this strong feeling. But everything I've searched basically says it's impossible. So I'm looking for some honest advise, has anybody done the same and ended up pregnant? Or not pregnant but can explain why I feel like this? Sorry for the essay! Xx

You can ovulate any time after stopping the pill- that's why doctors say to take emergency contraception if you miss 2 pills or more!

So yes, while that bleed does sound like a period (especially as an implantation bleed would normally happen 7-10 days after ovulation), there's always a chance you can get pregnant immediately after stopping the pill!

It's fine to stop taking your pill part way through a pack, makes no difference.

You could be pregnant or it could just be symptoms from coming off the pill, it's hard to tell as they are very similar. Only way to know is take a test!

The main thing I'm confused about is the bleeding 🤷🏼‍♀️ is it even possible to bleed like that and still be pregnant??
