Hi guys!

I had my first scan today it was so exciting to see lil baba and know he/she's doing great in there!

It's made me excited looking for things we need to get in the near future, can anyone recommend a good affordable pram?

Thanks

Xx

It's such a personal thing.

What is your budget?
Do you want parent facing?
3 or 4 wheeled?
Do you want/need a travel system.
What kind of terrain will you be using it on?
Will you be taking it on public transport?
How big is your car boot? Because if you'll be transporting it for trips out etc you want to be fitting it in with as little faff as possible.

Honestly it's worth going to a independent baby/pram shop or Mothercare where they have loads under one roof that you can have a play around with and see what works for you

Babyjogger city mini. Lies flat for newborns and naps and lasts right through until 4yo.

The folding mechanism is truly so handy.

I second the above. So easy to fold. Huge canopy hood. Baby/toddler can sleep so easily.

We just bought a Mamas and Papas Flip XT2 in the sales. Got the carry cot and a foot muff too. Baby isn't here yet so can't vouch for it in practice but we went for it because its nice quality, has good tyres for off-roading in parks/countryside etc. Folds up small, is pretty light weight, etc. It was pretty reasonable in the sales (all of the above came to £560 or so?). It has arrived and we've set it up. It seems very well made and sturdy.

We've gone for a Babyjogger City Mini GT after doing loads of research and speaking to some friends of ours who have one (and they all raved about it). It was also only £280 so a huge amount cheaper than some other prams that we were looking at. We went into Mothercare and tried it out for ourselves along with some others –we made sure I could fold it easily myself and lift it, etc.

We've just bought the Babyjogger city mini GT too. Worth going for the GT version IMO for the better wheels and more comfortable handlebars. My sister had one (so helpfully has passed down the carrycot) and hers was an absolute workhorse and survived two children throughout.
Your needs/taste may well be different though, so have a shop around various places and test them out.

Mamas and papas ocarro. Its sturdy, looks good and most importantly (to me) folds brilliantly and fairly compactly.

I think it depends what’s important to you, we live in a flat with stairs so something where the carrycot lifts out easily and the frame is light was our top priority but obviously this wouldn’t be for others. I’d go and try as many out as possible at a department store then make notes on pros and cons of each.

We've got a silver cross wave and it's beautiful and sturdy and does everything we need it to BUT it's quite heavy so if that's important to you then avoid that one!
