I find it helps if I put my feet up on DDs little step-stool that she uses to get up to the loo on. They're only a couple of quid if you don't have one already and really help when you get to the later stages of pregnancy.

They tell you to rock your pelvis back and forth as you wee.
It will get better. At that stage I couldn't move 50 yards without wanting a wee.

MrsMar · 21/06/2007 18:48

have you tried gently rocking about a bit? I find little bits trickle out, it's like they're trapped behind bits of baby, so I kind of do a roll around the loo.

you would think me being on my 3rd someone would have told me that by now! Thanks people!

I thought I had a problem as mine trickles out too !! and I need to go about 20 times, Thanks I feel so much better now !! I have been doing yoga and even that doesn't seem to make any difference. I will try the rocking business. ta

I had real problems with this from around 13-15 weeks with all of my pgs. I'd have a desperate urge, but couldn't even get a trickle out. The feeling resembled someone standing on a hosepipe while the tap is turned on. I tried everything mentioned, rocking, jumping up and down (felt ridiculous doing that) but the only thing that worked for me (and I can't believe I'm going to type this without name-changing). was to lie flat in the bath and let it out!!! Serious discomfort and pain of a very full bladder does wonders for any inhibitions one may have once had, and all dignity went out the window, but the relief was enough to cure any embarrassment I felt at the time.

The good news is that it didn't last long and after a week or two I could pee normally again!

My midwife reckoned it may have been because of my retroverted uterus that it was so bad.

Nice tips Aero !! I am so over it, especially at night.

I go at least once an hour. Tables are turned these days, it's my four year old daughter tutting at me as we hurtle about the city centre looking for a loo so mummy can go for a wee-wee

If you are having problems lying back enough to wee properly, then try sitting on the loo backwards, and leaning back that way. Sometimes that's the only way to get all the last drips out ... just be careful not to fall off!

I'm sooo glad you've started a thread on this as I've been getting the exact same problem - will try all the suggestions!
