Hi all, I'm hoping the experiences among you will be able to give me some advice.

I am 20 years old and have been with my current partner for 2 years. We live together and have done for over a year and a half.

I am on revidigon and have been for 3 months. Prior to this I have had the injection and the implant in. Other medical problems include type 1 diabetes, asthma, depression, PTSD and personality disorder which I am medicated for.

I realised on Wednesday that I had forgotten to start taking my pill again after my 7 day break. So I took my last pill on the 9th November. I had a heavier then normal bleed on the 15th 16th and 17th. I usually rely on an app to send me a reminder to take my pill at 8.30am but it hasn't been working for some reason. I had sexual intercourse on the 7th, 19th and 21st.

I have spoken to both a pharmacist and my GP who have advised I don't take my pill this month now and wait and do a pregnancy test in 4 weeks.

My stomach is bloated, I have been sick and my breasts are tender. My main question is how soon do you start to feel symptoms? I'm trying to tell myself that it's the stress and that I'm almost convincing myself that I am pregnant without knowing. If I am pregnant, it wouldn't be the worst thing to happen and my partner is being very supportive but I am so so stressed.

Any advice would be great.

Many thanks, Chloe

If you didn't bleed until the 15th, you almost definitely would not have ovulated on the dates where you had intercourse. You would be expected to ovulate around the 29th November so I would ensure you use condoms around that time.

Yes that's what I would've thought but when I asked the GP that she said I'm most at risk the first week after my week break as because I haven't taken my pill for 2 weeks and the bleed on the pill isn't a 'true period' that that would be the most at risk time for me to ovulate apparently.

Just realised I put the wrong dates for intercourse been trying to work it out, it was the 18th, 19th and 20th, not that I’m sure this would make much difference.

Generally speaking, I would say you're okay. If you read these boards, it's very rare women fall pregnant in their first cycle after coming off the pill. Of course, it happens, but the likelihood must be low. Don't panic yourself and use extra protection. Also don't panic if your period is late. After coming off the pill, my cycles were 6 weekly.

Brill that's great, thank you very much for your advice :)
