Is it normal to be angry towards the end of your pregnancy ?

I am so sick to death of everything and everyone .

My selfish brother booking my nephews 1st birthday party on my due date which he knows I’m being induced on -(nephews bday is week before - also booked his christening days before my wedding )

Fed up with step daughters mother dumping her daughter on us because she has a new boyfriend and wants to go on her weekends away - and fed up with my husband just letting her get away with this and more! Fed up of mother in law interfering with plans regarding step daughters care when baby is born !

Just arghhhhhh so angry and fed up with everyone and everything

Funny how when it’s the man’s child it’s being ‘dumped’ when not with the mother. His child, his responsibility.

I can actually relate to OP point about ex dumping kids.

My DHs ex when she has a new partner she always then expects us to watch SD all the time (over and above the agreed dates) usually at last min notice and at drop of a hat so she can go on dates, go weekends away, go clubbing and she expects us to drop everything when it suits her and always throws a strop when she doesn't get her own way. (Which 99% of time she does coz it's easier for us all as she kicks up fuck and just isn't worth it)

Example September weekend me and DH were both working the Monday and ex decided she was going out on the Friday (fair enough it was our long weekend with SD) but ex never bothered to answer her phone or turn up home until Monday afternoon still drunk, meaning I had to take a day off work to look after SD as schools were off. No excuse from ex except Claiming she has a right to a life as well. She had always been like that. Shes all about the Party life.

Before the MN police hit out. No I was never the OW. DH has always paid maintenance and we have SD 3-4 nights every week. 😊

So yeah OP I get your point. Be angry. Rage and rant away 😄

Yes angharad07 I call placing the child on our doorstep and running off “dumping” -and I call you judgemental without knowing full story so if you have no helpful input don’t comment ... simple

And can I say you completely missed the point .... the point of this post being regarding emotions towards the end of your pregnancy and whether it’s normal .... I’ve given a tiny tiny snap shot at some of the things going on .... and you pick out the part about co parenting ! How very typical ... a keyboard warrior 🙄

Normal! I lost all patience with adults being demanding/making life unnecessarily difficult and tbh it hasn't really come back (9months pp). Try to let go of the rage though and just think 'fuck them'.

blackcat86 · 23/11/2018 05:53

It's absolusly normal. All the politeness you've been doing for all these years will just go and people will just have to deal with it. When I was heavily pregnant I really saw people for the CFs they were and I was furious. I was furious that DSS's mum changed contact days all the time and never packed enough or weather appropriate clothes, I was furious when she sent him down with d&v knowing I was having a really difficult pregnancy and didn't want to catch anything, I was furious when the in laws couldn't even get their own bloody drinks and expected to be waited on, I was furious with my brother's shitty comments, and i was furious at DH for letting it happen. Be furious, be angry and rage away because you'll be 100x worse when the baby comes and you're in pain, sleep deprived etc.

Birrdy · 23/11/2018 06:39

All of those things sound like legitimate reasons to be angry to be honest, pregnant or not.

antipodeanjo · 23/11/2018 09:48

🙋🏻‍♀️ I am 38 + 2 weeks pregnant and get angry so quickly! Someone parked really close to my car today (but within the lines) so I couldn't squeeze back in or put my toddler in and I was furious. If I hadn't had a tired toddler me, I would have written a note with a rant worthy of Nigel farage talking about immigrants. As it was, I did some of the most ungraceful acrobatics the world has ever seen and climbed in through the boot, muttering to myself.

I think it must be the hormones...

anappleadaykeeps · 23/11/2018 12:25

I was so stroppy and short tempered at the end of both pregnancies, so totally understand!

We were living overseas (lots of snow) when DD was born, and at 37+6, I was so fed up with everything (particularly feeling like a beached whale and being totally unable to sleep properly). I spend the afternoon in our double garage, waxing 8 pairs of skis (scraping, sanding down, hot wax, etc) just to be away from DH and DS2. It was the only way I could let off steam.

4am the following morning my waters broke.....

Frances003 · 23/11/2018 13:12

After reading other posts I was hoping it may mean labour was imminent... but nothing yet other than a few twinges ! Think I’m just an angry woman 😆
And I know right @birrdy - legit reasons to be angry pregnant or not hey! People are testing me !

I did get angry at my step daughters hamster the other night though because he was just so loud , kept thinking about re homing him - in the morning felt so guilty , I couldn’t do it if I wanted to haha so I think the first person responding about SD mum completely missed the point of the post 🙄....... which made me angry at their stupidity
