Hi,

I have just returned home from a repeat ultrasound... I had one two weeks ago and saw the yolk sac, and they put me at 5 weeks (about a week or so behind what I thought) and today we went again and saw the same thing on the screen :( just the yolk sac with a tiny dot next to it, they have given me leaflets on management, to wait and let it happen naturally, tablets, or surgery.... I have had miscarriages before but they always started with bleeding.... I've had no signs of that at all.... no cramps or anything, just a loss of symptoms. I'm in shock and I don't know what the best choice is, has anyone been through this?

I went through this about 6 weeks ago, by the sounds of it the exact same situation. Have you decided if youll go for D&C or medical management?
How are you feeling? At first I was totally fine, probably a defence mechanism as it hit me really hard a few days later. Here for you xx

So sorry to hear this (from someone who has been there slightly further on). I chose the medical route so that I could just get it over with but that meant being in hospital for general anaesthetic, but you may prefer the non-invasive route. There is no right or wrong in this case, only what is right for you.

Wishing you well at this sad time.

I went for medical management (pessary). Was in hospital during so they were monitoring me throughout. Was quite painless

So sorry you are going through this. Flowers It's a horrible shock and disappointment.

It happened to me at 10 weeks. I chose surgery. Like been says, choose what feels right for you.

I have no signs of bleeding or anything naturally and I don't want to wait, I think that would be torture :( and I have a young son and I work part time so I don't know when it would start. My husband thinks it might be better to go down the surgical route to get it over with, as they may do testing? But I don't know if it would be too small for that, I'm leaning towards the tablets I think, I'm just in shock that this would happen again... I called my mum and she just said all the wrong things, even though I told her last time that these things she says really upset me, I guess I shouldn't have called her, but you always want your mum don't you :( I just wish I knew when I would start bleeding

I had a MC in May went for a private early scan no HB left 8 days repeat at Hosp still no HB. I opted for surgery I couldn't bare to flush my baby away. The night before I started bleeding and passing clots, the most painful think I've ever experienced. I still had the op as everything was still there. The op was fine 20 min in Surgery obviously felt a bit rubbish for a bit after and slight bleeding for a week.

There is a MC section on here if you search it at the top there is lots of great advice and support in there.
