Its just basically a late period. It might be slightly heavier than usual, but sometimes not. If you've taken a test you might have got a faint positive from a small amount of HGC. I'm sorry if this is happening to you. They're quite common but it doesn't make it any less upsetting.

A chemical pregnancy is a really early miscarriage. Typically someone takes a test on or very shortly after the day their period was due, gets a positive, and then shortly afterwards gets their period (or what they would have assumed was a late period if they hadn't taken a test). So egg is fertilised but either doesn't implant or something goes wrong at implantation. I'm really sorry if this is you, OP Flowers

I had one last month. I got a faint positive day AF was due, did a few more tests over the next three days and all were a faint positive (apart from the CB Digital)
I then started to cramp which got progressively worse and resulted in bleeding quite heavily with clots. Lasted around 5 days. I'm now 8DPO, give or take.

As PP mentioned, they are common but the mixture of emotions is quite something. Hope you're OK.

They're thought to be really common - previously people wouldn't have realised they were pregnant but pregnancy tests can pick it up so early now. I hope you're OK.
