Hey ladies

For those of you who have had anterior placenta - did you go on to have a vaginal birth or did it lead it to c section?

I understand of course every ones body is different but I just wondered really as noticed it says anterior on my paperwork :)

Thanks in advance

An anterior placenta itself would not mean that you are at an increased risk of needing a csection.
However, a low placenta would. That means you would have more regular scans and consultant appointments to see exactly where your placenta is in relation to your cervix

An anterior placenta is just a normal place for your placenta to attach. As long as it isn’t attached too deeply or low, it’s not a problem. An anterior placenta on its own isn’t a concern and won’t increase your likelihood of a c section or instrumental delivery.

Yeah I read that online that it’s just the positioning of it :) it was out of curiosity really as I find this all super interesting!

So far no issues so fingers crossed
