Braxton-Hicks high risk pregnancy

Hi all just wondering about something ?

I am high risk for this Pregnancy due to complications during my last c section 2 and a half years where I was my uterus was very thin and need to deliver at 36 weeks via c section. I am not allowed to labour.

I have had a scan at 22 weeks to measure the thickness and it was within normal range which was a huge relief.

This evening I have started having noticeable braxton hicks I am 26 + 4 in the pregnancy and just wondering are braxton hicks at this stage ok ? As I don't remember having them this early before.
How long do they take to settle down ?
when should I be concerned?
Are they painful ?

Thanks in advance

I had em at 19 weeks and was told it's normal. Paracetamol and a warm (not hot) bath helped calm them down.

BH are normal, and you often notice them earlier in subsequent pregnancies.

I swear I had them around 15 weeks with my twins and all was well. If you are concerned though I’d give the midwife triage number a call, they gave me reassurance over the phone numerous times. It was a big help!

I had noticeable BH from around 25-26 weeks. Now nearly 38 weeks and still no sign of baby! Mine were painless to start with, now they’re sometimes a little uncomfortable like a mild period cramp but not painful and only lasting for a minute or two before easing off.

Thanks for the quick response from you all,I will see how things are if they settle and then ring the MAU. After you all saying I think I probably have had painless ones it's just I noticed them tonight like period ache but higher up my abdomen

I'm also 26+4 today and started getting Braxton Hicks over the weekend so have been wondering the same. Definitely didn't get them this early with my last pregnancy and at times they have been quite uncomfortable! Any sort of walking seems to be setting them off at the moment- very disconcerting but saw midwife today who said it's normal

Thanks Sundaysunday,

I have spoke to the Mat unit this morning who have told me to do the opposite to what I am doing when I get them and see if they settle take paracetamol if not then to ring back to go in for monitoring. They eased off last night when in bed but as soon as I got up they started again Hmm so going to try this and see if they ease off I wouldn't be so concerned if they were painless or a little uncomfortable but they are really quite strong.
