My friend had sticky blood (not the medical term) and as soon as the placenta took over at around 6 weeks the embryo died as the blood wasn't flowing through.

She lost 10 babies over 6 years and is now 30 weeks pregnant, care of baby aspirin every day.

I had 2 chemicals & a mmc at 6 weeks found out at 10weeks all last year, im currently 39weeks pregnant. Got cyclogest from bfp to 14weeks & on aspirin all way through even though all tests came back clear but i had feeling myself my progesterone wasnt great

@Elzbells wow that must have been very hard for your friend. I’m so glad she got her rainbow baby!

@keepinghopeful how did you manage to get that prescribed? Was that through a consultant? I have been referred to the Recurrent Misscarriage Clinic but the wait is quite long so I’m going to have some tests done privately. I also have a feeling I have a progesterone definciency. My BBT is never above 36.5c post o and I have three or four days of brown spotting before my period. With my last pregnancy I was spotting brown from 13 DPO - 18DPO and then misscarried not long after. I don’t think the GP with prescribe the progesterone.

Congratulations on your pregnancy I’m thrilled for you and hope the next two weeks go quickly so you can see your little bean on screen (if you haven’t already)

@Holly5633 im in NI & went for one private consultation to an obstetrician & she gave me a script for it - said that there was no firm medical evidence it worked but for some of her patients it did. I had my day 21 bloods taken on 3 separate occasions & 2 of them came back low when i ovulated from left side showing i hadnt ovulated even though i was very sure I had - so frustrating & GP just wouldnt take me on! Lo and behold this little one is from left side ovulation but obviously just needed the extra help to sustain! I really wish you well as I know what a horrible time it is going through it & just consumes your life x

I’ve had 5 MC, 2 MMC and 3 early all before / on 6 weeks.

I saw the recurrent miscarriage clinic and use cyclogest from ovulation and low dose aspirin every day. I have had DS using this treatment and am currently 7 weeks pregnant with hopefully what will be our second DC. I’ve had 2 MC on the treatment so it’s not the holy grail.

The consultant thought maybe my progesterone levels weren’t getting high enough. The 2 MMC he could only explain as the type of MC that would have happened anyway, so probably issues with the embryo.

I was prescribed progesterone as my 21 day test levels were borderline low - enough to ovulate but perhaps not to sustain a pregnancy. Like you, I had other possible symptoms of low progesterone like brown spotting before my period and low bbt, also regular migraines just before my period. Dr prescribed progesterone pessaries (took them till about 15 weeks) and aspirin (until 32 weeks). I think the evidence is unclear so lots of doctors are reluctant but mine felt it wouldn't do any harm (I'm overseas in a country where they're quite happy to prescribe it), and I'm now 37 weeks.

I had a MMC and two chemicals and myself and DH were investigated. He had a MC with a previous partner and the consultant thought there may be an issue with him. It turns out he had high DNA sperm fragmentation. He was put on supplements, had to give up caffeine, alcohol and steam rooms and after 6 weeks we were pregnant and now over 30 weeks.

The DNA fragmentation is a separate test, his sperm count was excellent and showed no issues. If you suspect this you will have to go private and the test is about £400.
