triple test?

I was never offered one of these - had a low risk nuchal result (1 in 2500) would this be why? I am having a bad day, worrying about baby and his recent talipes diagnosis and what else could go wrong. 90% of the time I am positive for the little fella but on a hormonal day I can't stop my mind from racing. I am 22 weeks so it may even be too late now?

Triple test is routinely offered in my area and has been for the last 6 years or more.

SOme areas offer quadruple tests rather than triple.

I agree it may be too late as I was under th impression it had to be done at quite a specific time - which I thought was something like 14-16wks.

don't worry, your result is very low risk.

have a rest, and a relax tonight maybe? i am sure your little boy is fine

I guess since his talipes was only diagnosed at 20 weeks they maybe saw no need to offer it. Although I did post here the other day about how awful my two antenatal appointments have been, I have had to find out everything for myself (on here mostly!)

You're too late for the triple test now. If they're done at the wrong time the results will be misleading.

We only get the blood test here not the nuchal scan. Maybe some areas just offer one as they test for the same things and no point in doing them twice. Not sure but if you got a low risk result and have had no problems showing on your anomoly scan I'm sure everything is fine!!
