Struggling

I'm currently 12+3 and really really struggling with fatigue.

I work full time Mon-Fri 9 until 5 and I'm finding it so hard to deal with being tired at work that it's affecting my performance and making me feel emotional. On top of this, my workload is ridiculous and I'm in the middle of moving house.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to deal with this?

I feel like I'm at the end of my tether and want some reassurance that things will get better soon..

Thanks xx

The tiredness will go soon but come back about 30 weeks

Apart from getting as much rest as possible and getting your iron levels checked there's nothing else you can do I'm afraid.

It should however pass any day, once I was in the second trimester the fatigue disappeared.

To be fair any one with your life at the moment would be tired - pregnant or not!

Just know the fatigue will pass xx

Thank you, I’m hoping so. I’m expecting the tiredness towards the end but knowing I’ll be close to going on mat leave will get me through j think. x

I started feeling better around 15/16 weeks. You normally get a break in trimester 2 and for the first half of trimester 3. Towards the end the tiredness comes back with a vengeance!
Hang in there it should ease up soon and until then don't feel guilty about sleeping whenever you can, I used to have a nap when I got in from work for an hour to take the edge off!

Thank you. Yes I just feel like everything is going 100mph at the moment and I need a break.. hoping it will get better soon.x

For me 13 weeks was when I started feeling a bit more 'normal'. Your life sounds tiring for anyone let alone a pregnant person so don't be too hard on yourself. Make sure you are drinking enough water and eating healthily and your partner, if you have one, picks up whatever you can't manage in the evenings. If you feel like going to bed at 7pm then go to bed. It might be worth looking into relaxation techniques as well so that when you do rest, it's quality resting. I'm doing hypnobirthing and one of the most useful tools I've found is a simple breathing exercise; breath in through your nose for 4 counts and out through your mouth for 8 counts. Do this 4 times and repeat.

Thanks. I’ve always struggled with low iron levels and vitamin D deficiency, perhaps it’s why I’m feeling like this!

Aww Op I feel your pain! Can you talk to work about your workload as they may be able to ease this up a bit even just for a couple of weeks until the tiredness eases. I had terrible tiredness with my first pregnancy as I just tried to crack on at the same pace but this time round (13 weeks at the mo) has been so much better as with a different work who are looking after me so well. Been doing lots of homeworking and shorter days here and there where I need to. Have rested so much more and it’s helped loads. Hope it eases for you soon xxx
