Best double-buggy (toddler and baby)

So with ds we had a janè matrix travel system which I LOVED! The baby carriage is also a lie-down car seat, which can be adjusted to tilt upwards; invaluable as ds was 10 weeks early so too small for a regular car seat and had bad silebt reflux. It was also light; compact when packed away (we have a small peugot) and had a big basket underneath for shopping. Unfortunatly they don't do a decent double-buggy option so I'm looking for recommendations. Ds will be 2, but at 18 months he's still not walking so will need a buggy for a while. Needs to be one behind the other as our hallway and front door are too narrow for side by side. Also needs to be good off-road because we now live more rurally. We are in the uk. Thanks!

I'm not sure on side by side for offroading but we went with a Mountain Buggy with our two. As it happens by 20 months our daughter wouldn't really tolerate the buggy and now at almost 2 she won't go in at all. So I now have to sell my £400 unused double buggy and stick her on a buggy board Hmm

Mountain Buggy is the narrowest side by side and is approximately the same width as a wheelchair so fits through most doors. If you were able to fit it I'd definitely recommend.

Many years ago now, but I had an emaljunga husky. Didn't function as a car seat or anything, but it was essentially a single strong pushchair with a seat that clipped on the front for the toddler.

We've bought a second hand city mini double gt for a very similar situation. I got it down to that or the out and about. I reckon the out and about might fair slightly better off roading but the seat size was much smaller than the gt even though they were very similar in size. Baby is due in early December and there's every chance my 2 year old won't be interested in a buggy anymore but I'd rather be prepared! We've test run it with her friends next to her and they all love it so far!

Similar to a PP, I’ve got it narrowed down to the Baby Jogger City Mini and the Out N About Nipper.

All things being equal I’d go for the Nipper, but I have a VW Polo which doesn’t have the biggest of boots, so it looks like the Baby Jogger will be our pick.

DD will be 17 months when DC2 arrives- I’m holding off making a final decision until nearer the time as I’m expecting her to be a pram refuser once she gets more confident walking.
