Is this normal? I'm around 13 weeks and for the past few days I haven't felt any symptoms other than my sore breasts, but even they don't feel as bad. Had scan last week, and everything looked ok, but now I feel like I've been left in limbo.

I don't have a bump yet either, but as I'm overweight I wasn't really expecting to be able to tell this early.

@nothingisforgotten I’m 16/17 weeks now and couldn’t feel less pregnant if I tried! I have no bump, not felt anything, no sore anything and not even that tired! I went petrified to my midwife app yesterday sure I’d be told the worst but there is a baby heart beating away in there and she said it was moving lots even if I couldn’t feel it as she kept having to follow it with the Doppler. So don’t panic! This is my second and things get much much easier when you can reliably feel it move to put your mind at rest!

Thanks @firsttimer16 - this pregnancy was unexpected but very much wanted - 9 years of no contraception and we'd basically given up. I'm 39 so this is it for us really. I can't stop worrying.

That is normal - don't worry. The early pregnancy hormones settle down at this time and you go through a period of feeling non-pregnant....then the bump arrives ! And suddenly you'll start to look like a pregnant lady. Congratulations !

I'm 14+4 and I just can't believe there's a baby in there. I'm pretty much back to eating normally and even though I'm shattered generally just feel like my same old self. It's very weird! Just a few more weeks then we'll have our bumps and kicks : )

ChocolateChipMuffin2016 · 17/10/2018 09:57

I'm 14 weeks and feel the same. I remember when I was pregnant with DC1 that I was talking to a friend about how pregnancy was just a constant period of worry for me! Worried in the first 12 weeks if there was a baby there at all and symptoms are just the body tricking you, worry between 12 weeks and 20 weeks that something happened because you don't feel pregnant and cant feel the baby. From when you can feel the baby you worry every time they're quiet/having a lazy day (movements)!
She kindly reminded me that that worry doesn't go away when they're born, you then worry throughout their whole lives! Grin
It's magical!! Wink

Hi @stellabird - thanks :)

@RosiePosies when is your due date - I thought 21st April, but baby is measuring for 18 April according to scan.

@ChocolateChipMuffin2016 I'm a natural worrier anyway so it's not going to get any better is it? Grin

I worry about other people worrying about me worrying - so I keep it all to myself - currently attending counselling for separate issue, but hoping it will help my mindset.

Toyed with the idea of paying for another scan, but not sure I'd worry any less!

I'd just like to add a note of reassurance to this thread. I am 24 weeks with my third baby. I felt very nauseous from weeks 6-11, sore boobs etc. From weeks 11-16 I felt less nauseous but still not hungry. I didn't really start to have a bump until 17 weeks and only felt regular movements around the same time. Now I have a definite bump and the baby is wriggling all the time!

It's normal for symptoms to fade around 10-12 weeks as the placenta takes over hormone production. That limbo period before you start to feel regular movement can be difficult but try not to worry.

elpreggo27 · 17/10/2018 13:39

I'm due end of March and still struggling with symptoms a lot, BUT my pregnancy app keeps telling me I could be feeling wonderful by now, so I think it is normal and the hormones settling/placenta taking over etc. :)

Treaclepie19 · 17/10/2018 19:08

Very much normal. I'm 14 weeks and generally I feel fine.

HarrietCole · 18/10/2018 12:53

I'm also due in April, 13th.
Feel the same as you pretty normal. Bit more tired than usual but overall pretty good!
It gets you thinking is everything ok as you can't feel baby yet so keep wondering what's going on in there?!
I can't wait for my next scan just so I can see baby's doing ok.
Not too much longer to go and at least we'll start to feel baby's movements so I'm hoping that's going to give a bit more reassurance. X

Thanks everyone.

I've booked myself a well being and gender scan for week 16.

Think I'd go mad waiting until 6th December for my next one!

My appetite is back to its unhealthy best (was mainly craving salads and veg - now I want doughnuts!)

Wrong thread. Can you tell I'm not with it?! Have asked to be deleted.

I’m at about 17 weeks and the suspense is killing me!! I have a small bump (I think, sometimes I worry I’ve just put on weight 😂) but haven’t felt any movement yet as far as I can tell and I don’t really have any other symptoms right now except for heartburn and backache. We have our next scan in a few weeks but everyday I toy with the idea of booking a private scan because I’m not sure I can wait that long to know everything is OK!
