Sleep troubles

Does anybody else have sleep problems? I'm 24 weeks and I sleep alright until I have to go pee at around 3.30 and then when I get back in to bed it's taking almost 1 1/2 to 2 hours to get back to sleep. I'm really struggling with it because I have to be up at 6.30 for work. Some nights are worse than others. And the odd night I don't have a problem getting back to sleep. It's just typical it's on a work night that it happens.

I’m having the same problem.

I’m 17 weeks and struggle to sleep and get in a comfortable position. I have a pregnancy pillow, which helps a bit. Have you tried one of those? I also get pain in my hips and sometimes my back. You could try having a hot bath before bed.

Its horrible and always feeling extremely tired. I feel your pain!

Snap! I'm 24 weeks and lately if I get to pee at 4ish, I can't get back to sleep for a couple of hours. I've started accepting it and listening to a podcast for a while, etc. but I'm self-employed so don't have to be up early. It's rubbish though :(

I have a pregnancy pillow but it's not great. I have also been suffering from painful hips. I've been going to physio which seems to be helping a bit. I think sometimes it's in my head because on a weekend when I know I don't have to get up I have no problem sleeping. It's work nights that are the problem.

Yup! 36 weeks here and I wake between 3&5 every day and I'm awake for hours!!
Painful hips too not made easier by having to sleep on the left for the stage I'm at. But I do have problems with them anyways
I have found the usual trying to get to sleep tricks to help slightly. Pillow spray, roll on oil on your pressure points, specific bath things, nice smelling oils for your bump and smelling those after too.
But think it's just another pregnancy woe 😓

No real solutions but I feel your pain, I've bought some sleep spray that I spray on my pillow when I first go to bed and don't have any problems getting to sleep so that I can spray it on my pillow when I'm restless in the hope that I associate it with sleep and it helps me drift back off, it's early days but does appear to have some effect even if it's only psychological.

Just another yo day I feel your pain.

Currently 28+1 and getting up two or three times a night to pee- even more annoyingly the first time is always only an hour or two after I go to bed. I have very painful hips- which is down to having to sleep on my side after years of sleeping in my back.

Told me midwife and she just pretty much said welcome to pregnancy Grin

Might have to try the pillow spray myself Smile

Same here. Left hip pain has improved a bit with additional support from a rolled up throw so that could be worth a try. Not helped at the moment by having a cold and sore throat but it will pass, soon I hope! Sad
