If so, what were they and how were they managed?

Did they induce you? C section? Monitoring?

Curious to see how common this is as feeling like a bit of a failure at the mo!

I did, I had/it had reverse diagnosis flow (umbilical cord) accompanied by IUGR, only realized at my 28th week midwife appointment due to my son having bradycardia (when checking his heart beat) the midwife also did the measurement from my pubic area to belly button and I was exactly the same size as before, I was sent straight to the hospital and hospitalized and had to have steroid injections and 4 days later I had him at 28+3. Weighing all of 1lb 10oz! He survived but it was very stressful and he was in the NICU for 3 months!

(Buster I'm so glad things worked out okay for you my dd was born with SVT at 38 weeks and has just turned one, all ok now thankfully)

OP I'm 28 weeks now and they noticed my placenta is low (Placenta Previa) at 20 wks - Have just had another scan and it's still covering the cervix opening - they keep saying there's still a possibility it may move up but if it doesn't it's a C-section - I've also had a lot of pressure and some brown discharge recently so there telling me to try and take it easy (easier said than done with a busy little 1 year old too!)

The only thing they've told me to watch out for (now they've checked the baby all ok atm) is fresh red bleeds or persistant pain (I also have SPD so it's difficult to know with it may being referred pain from my pelvis.....

Thanks Tad, I had him by c section, they saved the theatre for me every morning, I had a daily scan and if it was okay it wasn't needed! I was lucky to get to day 4!

I had placenta privia till 32 weeks on my first pregnancy and on 2nd I had a bleed at 38 weeks which indicated a failing placenta. I was given a sweep and went into labour that night but when the placenta was delivered it was calcafied and the cord snapped. Very lucky
