8+5 worried sickness has improved

I'm pregnant immediately following a miscarriage so naturally feeling anxious about every little thing. Over the last 3 days my sickness has been much. better than previously. Whereas I was waking up in the night feeling sick and was normally sick within 10-15 mins of getting up then feeling sick for the majority of the day. I now feel abit sick on and off thought the day but nothing compared to before. I've also not been sick for 2 days now. I'm not sure if it is related but we have had a very sudden family bereavement and I've been very emotional and mentally preoccupied with that rather than thinking about baby/do I feel sick etc (as I probably did before!) Just looking for abit of reassurance that other women have felt their symptoms improve so early on and everything has been ok.
Thank you, Betty🌻

Everyone is different with their pregnancies. I had no sickness at all with my first pregnancy but had sickness with my other three. The sickness lasted for 3 months but not on a daily basis. Because u had a miscarriage I think u need to be checked out by your midwife as they do always say after a miscarriage you should wait for a certain amount of time before trying to conceive again. It maybe nothing to worry about.

With my current pregnancy (3rd pregnancy, and currently 10+5) I was sick quite a lot between 5-7 weeks; that's how I found out I was pregnant.

Anyway, on to the point, my sickness has died down a lot. I no longer am physically being sick, but still have quite a bit of on and off nausea.

Truth be told, I don't think it's anything to worry about at all. I had a similar situation with DS2 and the pregnancy was perfectly normal, he is a healthy and demanding 2y/o lol.

It happened to me just as you have described.

I had a miscarriage and was understandably nervous about this pregnancy. I found morning sickness surprisingly reassuring. Then it disappeared for a few days and I had a panic attack. Fortunately, I have an understanding doctor who arranged a scan. All was fine. I went home happy, threw up that evening and the morning sickness returned in full force.

The anxiety sucks. It probably won’t help, but keep telling yourself you are more likely to have a baby than not. 💐

Whoops, hit post too soon.

I am sorry for your bereavement (in my case it was friend rather than family). Whilst it may be a distraction for you, I think it may also amplify pre existing anxiety about your pregnancy because life and death is forefront in your mind. I’m sorry. 💐

Just wanted to say thank you all for your kind replies. My morning sickness is definitely still lurking as vomited this morning, I think I have been so distracted I put all of the pregnancy symptoms to the back of my mind. As you said @uncreative I think I was feeling anxiety due to the previous and current circumstances. I can now separate the miscarriage and loss of my family member from this current pregnancy by taking one day at a time. Thank you all🌻
