I know it seems a minor thing, but I’m due in at 7am and not supposed to eat from the night before (12am) then only clear fluids until 6am.
I know there are three of us on the day (next Wednesday) and possible emergencies. I think they’ll be going first because they’ve had previous surgeries and that seems to be their policy. So I may not be going down until after lunch technically.
I wake up every morning feeling sick to my stomach with hunger and I’ve aleays been like this. Not just in pregnancy. If I don’t eat or drink I come over feeling faint and dizzy.
Coupled with the anxiety and panic Ill already be feeling.

What is the solution here? I’m really concerned about this. I know it seems silly, but I suffer with GAD anyway.

@BarryTheKestrel My Hospital does the enhanced recovery and they didn’t give me the carb drinks at the pre op Sad it says clear liquid until 6am...nothing after that. I’m going to bring water and a lucozade drink and see if they’ll let me have sips at least, if I am last on the list (out of three).

I honestly think you’ll be too nervous/full of adrenaline to even think about hunger! We went for lunch at 12.30 on the day I went to get induced, Long story but I ended up being nil by mouth from around 8pm that day (having not eaten) with an eventual c section at 3pm the next day... I didn’t once think about food (and in all honesty I think the only thing I had after the surgery was an apple as DD was in NICU)

@thetimehascometo You’re probably right. I’m actually more worried about not drinking now, I’m thinking about not drinking water and I’m not sure how I’ll manage as I’m always thirsty!
