Movements... is this normal?

Baby has dropped and I can tell is much lower down. I'm still feeling regular movements but not anywhere near as strong (just as regular as before). I see SO MUCH conflicting advice regarding movements. Am I right in thinking that as long as the movements are regular and not weak, similar to pattern I'm used to, it doesn't matter that they've changed a bit/aren't quite as powerful?

I'm 36 weeks. It's all very anxiety inducing...

I don’t know loads about this as only 18 weeks, but a midwife definitely said to me yesterday that is doesn’t matter how strongly you feel the movements, it’s the frequency/pattern that matters.

Definitely normal and okay! If baby has dropped its more likely just hitting your public bone and what not.
Unless you're breech, in which case it all felt the same to me even when she dropped.
But so long as movement is there and normal for you I wouldn't worry 😊

I'm 36 weeks too, noticed the same thing! Baby is much bigger, my bump feels heavier and I'm getting much more rolling movement and pressure rather than the jabs I had before. But baby is still moving frequently and in a similar time pattern so I am happy with that. Smile

I m 39 weeks and spoke my midwife.on Monday about it, I said that they re different.t but he still moves a good few times a day, she said as long as he moves every now and then there's nothing to worry about x

36 weeks and experiencing the same thing. It’s my fourth baby but my youngest DC is six so I’ve completely forgotten how it all feels Grin. The movements were really strong and painful up until this week, they’re now the exact same frequency but just feel a bit weaker.

It’s nothing to worry about, they just have very little space left so no room to give massive kicks anymore- they’re literally curled up in a ball in there.

The same thing happened to me - I ended up getting checked out because I was driving myself mad worrying and knew I wouldn’t stop until I knew for certain baby was okay.
All I kept thinking was the midwives say any change in movement at all warrants getting checked out and they’d rather check you and it be nothing than not check you and potentially miss something.
So if you’re worried go get checked just so you have peace of mind, I felt so much better after I had reassurance that everything was okay!😊

I’m pretty sure Tommies says any change in movements.

I went the in other week because they were so much weaker. I spoke to the midwife on duty and she said come in. They were very helpful.
