I'm 39 weeks pregnant and waking up unable to walk without with being severe pain in the pelvic bone area. Could this possibly be a good sign? Should I call up and ask them what they think? I'm clueless as a first time mum to be

Sounds like SPD, also known as pelvic girdle pain. Try googling the pelvic partnership which is a charity that helps people with SPD. They should have a list of symptoms so you can see if you think it matches.

Given it’s come on so late in pregnancy it’ll probably disappear as soon as the baby is born. Hopefully you’ll only have a week or so to go! Best of luck!

I suffered with bad spd in my second trimester and saw a physio, it eased off but not I’m 35 weeks this Thursday and woke up at the weekend with pain in my right bum cheek abs right hip again, I did some reading up and pretty sure baby has moved further down as feel more pressure on my bladder and the pain in bum and hip I think is siatica. I struggle mostly at bedtime ans sleeping, then in the morning I struggle getting up due to the pain in hip and bum. Hoping it will ease off and that I don’t have this for the next 5 weeks

I m 39 weeks today too and it's the baby engaging and getting ready! Unfortunately it doesn't mean your gunna go into labour soon, it's just means baby is ready for when it all does happen, just a week to go! Xx

It sounds like pelvic girdle pain. I find it's worst for me when the baby is head down.
